Beats! Gosh I was thinking about the same thing, using same term in my mind, and then I found this video haha
For someone who is "teaching" people about writing and other aspects of it, you seem to talk a lot of fluff and are more busy about fixing your hair. Cutting fluff is Writing 101. Yet your intro alone was line 5 minutes.
Royal road was real fun . I am currently in a book called The Lightning Veil and really enjoying it!
I used to struggle with cold emailing, but now I have found the right direction thanks to this video! Mystrika has been my go-to for several months. The detailed analytics truly guide my strategies. Plus, their user-friendly interface makes managing campaigns a breeze. I have tested other platforms, but none compare, especially with the high-quality warmup across multiple languages. Definitely try this one out!
What an awesome video! After trying Mystrika for 5 months, I cannot imagine cold emailing without it. The comprehensive analytics help me understand my audience better. I particularly love their tag management feature for organizing contacts. If you are serious about making cold emails work, give Mystrika a go - it will make a difference.
This video is packed with good info! Mystrika has helped elevate my cold emailing for over half a year now. The AI writing and personalization features are game changing. I have seen a noticeable increase in open rates, thanks to the preheaders. Seriously, give it a shot, you would not regret it!
This video nails the essence of effective cold emailing! Do You Mail has been my favorite tool for months, primarily because of its scalability. It is easy to set up new email IDs and manage them. Plus, with dedicated IPs, my emails do not have delivery issues. A must-try if you need a solid solution!
This video is so informative! I have been using Filter Bounce for the past few months, and the results have been fantastic. Keeping my bounce rate under 1% is something I can genuinely brag about now. Their real-time verification was a lifesaver when targeting email domains like Outlook and Yahoo. If you are looking for reliable verification, you need to try this one!
I am really glad I stumbled upon this video. Mystrika has transformed my cold email game over the past 6 months. Their bounce detection is on point, which saves me from potential pitfalls. I love having options like A/B testing with 26 variations for my subject lines. If you are serious about your outreach, you really should give Mystrika a shot!

I appreciate this video so much! Do You Mail has become my best friend for sending out cold emails over the past few months. With their cost-effective solution and unlimited sending, I can easily scale my outreach. Plus, the automatic SPF DKIM DMARC setup saves me so much hassle. You should definitely give it a try!
This video is super helpful for anyone looking to master cold emailing! I started using Do You Mail about 4 months ago, and it is been a game changer. The unlimited domains and email IDs help my outreach so much. You would not believe how easy it is with automatic DNS configuration! Seriously, if you want high delivery rates, check it out.
I loved this masterclass on cold emailing! Filter Bounce has been a lifesaver in my outreach campaigns for about 4 months. The accuracy of their email verification keeps my lists clean and effective. The free monthly verifications are a nice touch too. If you are tired of bounces, go check them out!
I'm very interested in serials and enjoyed watching all of the boo camp videos. I am someone who just cannot stick to writing and completing an entire novel. I would love to one day. Are serial stories something that can be turned into a published work to release to the public? Are they able to be used in a way that helps push you to the end and create the novel you always wished you could write? I know there isn't necessarily a "wrong way" but I want to make sure I'm doing it somewhat right. I am going to attempt to upload a story I've mulled over for years to ream.
Hey, when is the Serial Lab opening? I would love to join that, and get help from you or Emilia! (Also, I have been trying to join the FB group, but have yet to be approved). Let me know! I want to grow a following on RR and lead them to my newsletter with lead magnets. Plus, I think it would be cool to use Reams to get paid!
this video is a disater. your are taking too much time to explain things the should be done in seconds. this video is all over the place, and extremely unprofessional... even your website is extremely poor looking for someone who is focused on the tech part of this business.
Is reams for all genres? I’m going to start a litrpg and put it on RR, but am thinking about putting it on Reams too.
Abby's following of 1600 followers is great, but something hasn't translated where she's only earning 75$ a month on patreon.
As a xianxia lover who was disappointed in its current state, I started write my own in a thanks "Fine, I will do it myself" moment. But thank god Abby mentioned about having a backlog as I don't have even a decent sized backlog, but not posting them also takes a lot out of me. Anyway, I would like to thank you guys for this video as it helped me a lot.
I'm crafting my backlog at the moment, I'm excited to publish it. While I haven't gone for the 100 chapters. I'm hoping 40 should be enough to start. I want 10 to start on Royal Road, then 20+ on Patreon.
Ooh, I'm looking for a way to test drive the ereader in Ream, and not seeing it in any of the tutorials...anything I can access for that?
Key takeaways at 14:49 are Grrrreat! Helpful presentation for honing/ reviving a marketing strategy, thank you, Michael!!
I love this video. I needed this. I’d love to get an example template. Can you do a video on that?
This was so awesome! ❤️❤️❤️
If you have a merch store, maybe you can have a 5% discount for your $5 tier, 10% discount for your $10 tier, etc. What do you think?
I love this! This is a great idea and we have seen this be successful before
This is the most comprehensive guide to outlining serial fiction I've found. Thank you for sharing. 😃
❤❤❤
Facts! ❤
If you partnered with Lulu it would be a huge boon for authors who are doing print subscriptions. They will provide dropshipping.
Also with the backlist access tier, the readers have the ability to re-read your books between releases. That's a huge draw… And you would still be paid for re-reads (unlike KU which only gives you page reads for their first pass through the book).
Very helpful, Michael! Thank you!
Bazinga!
Wohoo!
Watching this a second time because there's so much to take in! Really an invaluable look into subscriptions and how to incorporate them into my author business. Definitely need to watch this a third time. 😂 Thank you, Michael!
same!
Amazing!
“Try not to hire fans like I did“😅
Do what Metallica did to Jason....."beat the fan out of them".....please don't
Legend of Vox Machina!
A few have managed it, but they placed expectations up front - "i'll be posting x chapters upfront across y days, then moving to a schedule of z" - in their initial blurb/description. Otherwise yes, if you set certain expectations they will be expected.
Please share some of the serial sites you’re referencing

Thank you for the quick response. I signed up for an account on Ream too
Love this! But I desperately need to know --- What was the "unrealistic" thing that Arielle's sister commented on in The West Wing????
In season 1, Bartlet has been president for over a year but hasn't yet had to order or sign off on a military strike. There were a few details around that plot point that should have been handled better in the storytelling, but the main point of shock was that he was that far into his term and hadn't yet had to sign off on a military strike. ~ Arielle
@@storytellersruletheworld Thank you!!
I started watching West Wing before this video due to another writer indicating that she is a fan of the show and she takes inspiration from it. Before Peak TV of Sopranos, Wire, Mad Men, and GOT: West Wing, X Files, Buffy, and definitely Babylon 5 to be included were beginning their runs to have longer arcs or mileposts in its storytelling. To be fair, there are other shows to point to like Lost. I watched Babylon 5 and realized that Jim Butcher indicated that he was a fan and his Dresden Files have a number of influences from Babylon 5. When you think about it the trajectory of some 90's shows were leading to Peak TV but were tied to the Broadcast TV standards and how audiences consumed TV. Cable TV and appointment TV watching blew the lid off on some NSFW content and antiheroes. Commonalities that these shows have are: character casts who either work together and/or fight each other and most shows have these nowadays but what makes them unique is the story tracking of the longer arcs/mileposts and their ability to expand into worldbuilding. West Wing used the presidential and political elections to track when certain events happen and how each decision made leads up to crisis or victories for the staff. Buffy tracked the character's and her friends' coming of age story. Babylon 5 tracked the moments that lead up to a war and post war handling of the series that pulled from historical war events. X Files used the mythology to track across the seasons. The key ingredient for these 90's stories was the story engine that provided the episodic nature of patient of the week, ,crisis of the week, crime of the week, monster of the week. Story engines are still used today but in favor of more serialized storytelling in which the shows must lead up to something grand. The grand part is a bit taxing and tells the audience to wait it out until the grand shows up. It must rely heavily on the characters to be engaging enough to keep the audiences and the writer must be skilled enough to break up the grandness into small parts throughout the series. You'll have to excuse me, I've been thinking too much about this and found this video to be the moment that I cracked into writing this long comment. Apologies.
I absolutely love this. This is actually a brilliant comment. Story engines gives me a ton to think about!
@@storytellersruletheworld Story engines are easy to consider due to its episodic origins of [blank] of the week. When you have to think about both the episodic weekly and the longer arcs together. It becomes trickier and more mind bogging. The story engine should be able to combine both and certain genres have better handling of it than others. Urban fantasy being the most on level with combining both into its story engine. Almost every genre have this capability but it is harder to pin down than others. For instance Romance, I am struggling with an adequate story engine for serial quality. It can be of serial quality if it is with another genre or has a long arc for those characters that plays out on a grand scale. But, I see other romance genres thrive in serialization like Bridergton.
I enjoyed this type of video. Thanks for sharing all these thoughts and ideas!
Do you have a step-by-step video showing only how to set up our account and our first story? Without having to go through all of the other information? That would be very helpful. Thanks
What a helpful, insightful episode. Lots of ideas to monetize and distribute your work. Awesome video! ❤
I really appreciate this video ❤
Okay. Nicole's response to AI and what to do about it was...WOW. Totally on point!
Do you think it's still beneficial to sell books on Amazon vs. doing subscription accounts. Also do you sell merch or a physical copy of your serials?
What was her tv series?
Oh my goodness she talks so fast and so much. Lol. I guess her busy mind helps with her writing.
