I found the plug broken in this case, but that does not mean that the same problem (in this case - NO POWER) has the same solution. I found the problem thanks to my power supply lab, but for the following videos I will try not to use it or show how to find a solution even if you don't have a power supply or other tool specific to a repair lab.

"You're the same age as my Dad" Johnny Murphy was 10 years older than Colm Meaney. He's older than your Dad, pal. Though, Colm is only 15 years older than Robert Arkins, so he's barely old enough to be his Dad in the first place.

did you watch the same video? I solved the part with the BIOS password in another video. I had no reason to be stuck because it was just a simple disassembly. I stopped the camera only when I had to move it for a better view or when the dogs started barking...

When I first saw this movie, everyone in it was older than me and I thought Jimmy was so funny and witty, and that Deco was the only jerk. Now I see Jimmy as a rude ass, though very handsome and with the will to put this band together, which he does. II've auditioned dozens of musicians and I would never be so nasty to people, there is no reason to be.
Are you an Irishman, sir? 😊 I agree with you 100%, but to be fair, the movie is set in Darndale, north Dublin City, which at the time was a very, very rough, frankly, scary place for outsiders. Coming from Donnycarney, and attending St. David's School in Artane, both of which were reasonably close to Darndale, most lads we met from there were considered to be agressive and "to be avoided." So Jimmy's attitude was "the norm" at that point in time. I've been away for over 35 year now so things may have changed, just giving you some background info...
One great movie and highly underrated.
Basically if that sentence had been Colm Meaney's entire career, he'd still have ledgebag status in my own tiny little mind...

I met Johnny Murphy(the actor playing him) at a show once in Dublin. Didn't recognize him til my aunt told me it was him. I have a pic with him somewhere. Cool guy, and one of the greatest characters ever!

Such an iconic film I watched it once as a kid, but never truly appreciated how great a film it was until I was in my 30's
I'm in the same boat, but haven't watched it again. I've just been scrolling youtube looking at clips from it. I'll track the full movie down soon and appreciate it.
My take on Joey was that he was an accomplished session player who rubbed shoulders with a few greats, but embellished in his stories somewhat. I think that the reason he asked Jimmy to wait outside as he went to meet Wilson Pickett was because it was highly likely that Wilson would struggle to remember him, or worse, not never even heard of it, so he made up the story about them having some big fallout. The ending is very open, was Wilson coming on Joey's request, or had he just come because he had heard a good buzz from the band?
I agree. I don't think Joey was an outright liar, but he portrayed himself as more than he was. I think he did speak to Pickett, as he tells Jimmy when confronted about it at the show ("I told you, I spoke with the man"), but he basically pitched the band to Pickett on account of the band's strength and local fame (he had to snatch the newspaper from Jimmy to show to Pickett) and not for old times' sake. Pickett showing up so late means he had a mild interest from Joey's pitch but not that serious. However I think Pickett's appearance is designed to help the viewer take Joey more seriously in light of the band's implosion, instead of viewing him as a charlatan who singlehandedly destroyed the band, which isn't true.
About 20% of what he said was roughly true. And about 80% was bullshit. Figuring out the 20% is always a challenge.
Probably explains why Vernon Presley puked inside his trumpet.
