Most of the journey is on local and single line track lines until it reaches Oxford. The only high speed section is the length between Oxford and Paddington.

Thank you for sharing your experiences of traveling Polaris from Dulles AND from Lisbon! I really enjoyed watching the difference in levels of service as I was planning to upgrade one leg of my roundtrip flight as a honeymoon surprise. I can certainly see that Dulles offers a much better level of service for the lounge. I am not a fan of TAP Portugal’s lounge and can see how the upscale service is not worth it compared to United at Dulles. GREAT videos!! Obrigada!

Thank you so much for these vlogs, so helpful as I am hoping to book the same cruise this September. I have only been on Royal Carribean so was not sure about the quality of P&O. In your opinion do I need to pay more and upgrade for the shuttle bus service or can you just walk off the boat into the towns they are visiting? Also do you feel £2989 is a fair price for a double balcony room? It is hard to know if I am getting a good deal as they won't show the prices of the sold out rooms 😅
Thank you, I'm glad that you found the volgs are helpful 😊. I paid £2658 for an inside state room. It was my very first cruise with P&O. Their system is pretty different from what I used to. I've cruised with NCL, Regent, Celebrity, and MSC. The food was good and comprehensible with NCL. But nothing like Celebrity. The service, on the other hand, is totally different from other cruises. The satff are not as energetic and engaging as other cruises. But they are friendly and helpful. If you don't see any particular shore excursions that you really want to go on. I would suggest taking the shuttle bus is the best way. I would go check with the Shore Excursions desk once you're on the ship about the shuttles. They are very helpful. Unfortunately, P&O doesn't give out any information about the shuttle bus before the cruise starts. From my experience, they do provide shuttle bus on all the port of call.

This is just AN elevator. This is called a Paternoster And it's extremely rare due to the danger it poses from never stopping. Old people or those with walking impediments could rarely use it
