Breakfast is the least important meal of the day…. but the breakfast of my great grandmother in 1905 was coffee, Ryebread cream and butter compared to the orange juice, skim milk, cereal, breakfast I grew up with in the 70s.

Cutting out cereal and cutting down on carbs has been a great thing. I eat much more protein now. It's not hard, and I feel so much better

That’s interesting that stress raises your blood sugar levels.
My body thinks it needs to fight or flee so it’s mobilizing glucose …cortisol insulin levels all connected-Glucose Goddess channel also really good
I have been prescribed Wegovy due to inability to lose weight even though I eat healthy and exercise regularly. I don't have food noise or overeating issues. My blood sugar is in the 105 range and my A1C is 5.7 even though I eat a low carb, no processed foods. Is this a good choice for me? Not asking medical advice, just curious if it will help even though I don't have food issues.

Yes i agree that seed oils are bad for our health. But ...... Fish bhi mat khao Meat bhi mat khao Dhoodh bhi mat piyo Nuts bhi mat khao Ghee bhi mat khao. Eggs bhi mat khao. Jo actual problem hai uski taraf inka dyan hi nhi jata jaise ke: High GI foods No exercises Eating more frequently Eating without hunger Eating in large quantities.
I'm convinced that the main reason Italians live so long is that they eat fresh unprocessed food. They eat a ton of carbs (pasta), but they eat fresh food. I've seen parmesan cheese, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar being made. No additives or preservatives. They buy fresh produce. A lot of Italians grow their own veggies, make their own cheese, and even make their own wine. The artisanal techniques developed over the centuries did not rely on added crap. I buy whatever I can at local farmer's markets and grow hydroponic vegetables at home. I can walk in the door, pick some lettuce, spinach, and tomatoes, add some cheese or chicken, and I have my dinner. Outside I grow onions, shallots, and garlic because they are hard to grow with hydroponics. It also saves a lot of money to grow your own. With green onions and garlic you can get the flavor by cutting the stems and chopping them up and the bulb will just keep growing more stems. You can start by buying some at the store and planting them. Consumer Reports analyzed several brands of spices and found almost all of them contained toxic contaminates. So now I'm setting up a little garden to grow spices. Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme as Simon and Garfunkel said. Mint is easy to grow and so is turmeric. Heck, you can grow sugar cane, which is just really tall grass. Its also possible to grow food from table scraps. Lettuce is a no-brainer. You pound it on the counter and the base pops out. You stick it in water and you grow a new plant. This only works one or two times. I also let some of my plants go to seed, which is aesthetically ugly as sin and once you see it you understand where the term "go to seed" comes from. But you get a lot of free seeds that you can plant. So you get a packet of heirloom seeds, let them grow, allow one or two plants to get fugly, and you have more heirloom seeds. Happy eating!

How is it a lower carb load?

I think it’s terrible how the whole front of the grocery store is candy and treats. I have my groceries delivered and I do feel that protects me against temptation. Reminder to self: I do not need a sweet in the middle of the day😂
I love your reflection on how fast food has helped and I relate completely. I always loved happy meals and I also was really excited about the toys! Why not be a kid at heart and like you said, now make choices for health but keep the fun.
