This tornado flattened my house.it even drilled into the basement.lucky i know my house is not much structured so on the 24th i went and evacuated and went to east Tennessee
Little did they know, they recorded once-in-a-lifetime monster tornado. It's legendary. Just the color of the sky is nightmare material. What an important piece of video
Did you guys know if you download this video or screen record it you can brighten it up and you can see what’s actually going on 😂😂 yup. Just turning the exposure up all the way GREATLY helps you would be so shocked.
This is what the 1925 Tristate most of exactly been like but even bigger. The survivors described ominous sky with different colors of green and dark clouds and day turned into night. 0:47 It was huge mass stretching across the horizon and they didn’t know it was a tornado until it was right on top of them roaring.
That damn roar is just ridiculous!! They got really lucky it passed them by I honestly thought it was going to turn and hit them head on as it got closer Unbelievable footage they’re much braver than me I would’ve shit bricks looking at something of this magnitude 😂
Yet we wouldn't have gotten to see what they saw, had they not been out there filming. They could have gone inside immediately, but had they sustained a direct hit from an F-5, a lot of prisoners and guards could have died, regardless of them seeking shelter indoors.
I was working in between Muscle Schoals and Russellville that day. I'm originally from Minnesota and tornadoes like this are rare but could still happen. My crew just stayed in the AT&T shelter at the base of the tower that day. Those are nuke bomb proof so I think we were safe. Tornado passed not too far away. We ended up helping the emergency crews getting communications and power back up for 2 months after that. I couldn't believe the trail of destruction. God Bless.
Super cell, with big hail. Turquoise equals ice, and heavy rain. Rotation in the wall cloud is a precursor to a tornado. That tornado was designed to rip your arms and legs off your body! U would not be identified!
Now that's just one nasty storm period. Then you add that monster twister and all the forces it generates and it's hard to tell what's the tornado and what's not. I consider all of it the tornado. Just looked like a lot of scud and a lot of inflow to feed its hunger for destruction. In video it's big and nasty so in person I guarantee it looked like the earth was coming to an end. You cant do them justice unless you see them with you're own eyes. Even then it's not real because they are just absolutely monstrous and go waaaay up into the wall cloud. Unreal events I pray for all yals safety in the face of these beasts.
Footage shot with the old flip phones is amazingly compelling.. and creepy... impactful as hell 13 years later!
Thats. Horrifying....

When the sky is green, its about to get mean
I think this might have been the rainsville ef5 tornado
its not. its hackleburg
I’m guessing these people didn’t take a direct hit since this footage exists.
That tornado hit when I was in the hallway at school in Ardmore 6 miles north. It killed 3 of my mothers first grade students in Tanner
The roar
Wait is this The Hackleburg EF5? Just wanted to make sure
Yeah
That's one hell of a tornado, that outbreak was a once in a century event
THIS IS AN EF-5 SEEK SHELTER NOW I CAN HEAR THE ROAR OF THE VILOENT TORNADO IT SOUNDS LIKE A JET ENGINE

You can hear it coming towards you this twister is very large and dangerous seek shelter now
I was living in southeast Missouri when this very large tornado happened in 2011
Very dark clouds with greenish colored clouds
Was in an F4 23 years ago and I still remember that f*cking sound... This sound.
Alabamans are stupid
This tornado was the HackleBurg EF5 as it was hitting limestone and harvest
Ok this is the BEST VIDEO I've EVER SEEN!!!! My heart is still racing!!!
Excellent video ❤

Very similar to the Joplin's rain wrapped monster. A modern day Tri State remake.
Nothing but ignorant morons in this video.

You watch your mouth you butt whole.
The sound of it when it got close! Wow that's scary
That blue-green tint in the sky is never a good sign. That’s your cue to gtfo
Scary footage dude! The darkness is so eerie!
Scuro. Terrore. E. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤦🏻♀️
So scary when you can't clearly see it
It's a rain wrapped tornado. That's what made it scarier

That thing was mad. It was like it was mad at alabama.
Now this is a couple that can survive anything!

RUclips finally recommending me something I'm into. Never seen this before that's crazy
A case where sheer stupidity and lack of situational awareness resulted in great video. Cheers to the idiots who filmed it!!
WOW!! That’s just UGLY HOLY SHIT
If you're ever in a life threatening situation, you don't want her anywhere around.
Are these people out of there freaking minds?

I love listening to y'all talk. Every time I go to Alabama, it just makes me smile.
Wow, just wow. Crazy how intense this thing was, I assume this was the Phil Campbell-Hackleburg tornado?
Yes it was
It looks like it missed them by a few hundred yards. I was quite baffled that they stood there as long as they did, instead of taking shelter. 😳
Bubba I think I saw summin they to country
This tornado was sucking people out of their storm shelters...
Um. I’m alarmed that’s coming this way.
