Turning a Bachmann 0-6-0 into the Quaker Square train
So here’s my documentation on turning an old Bachmann USRA 0-6-0 into a pseudo Burlington Route G3. It was a fun project and it makes a great addition to my layout! I plan on adding the tender STL’s to thingiverse in the future. Filmed off IPhone 13 and edited in IMovie.

Day of Rio Grande Heritage

Catching wind that Wheeling train 764 was heading west on the Cleveland sub with the two Rio Grande tunnel motors, I ran out to chase them. While I’ve railfaned the wheeling my whole life, this is the first time I’ve been able to chase the tunnel motor duo. Built for the Denver and Rio Grande Western in March of 1980, SD40T-2 5413 served admirably with D&RGW and its successor, Union Pacific, un...
C-53 “Beach City Baby” fly by #beachcitybaby #bandofbrothers

During the Discover Aviation Airplane and Car Show at the Lorain County Airport, I was lucky enough to see the newly restored C-53 “Beach City Baby” take off and flyover the event. This C-53 spent 24 years in Beach City, Ohio deteriorating away at the end of Beach City Airport, until Jason Capra’s Vintage Wings incorporated bought and restored the plane to an airworthy status. This is one of th...
Ford Trimotor startup, taxi, and takeoff.

During the Discover Aviation Airplane and Car show at the Lorain County airport, the Liberty Aviation Museum operated their 1928 Ford Trimotor, taking guests on short shuttle flights around the Lorain County area. One of only a handful of Ford Trimotors still flying, this is a rare sight for any aviation enthusiast! Filmed off iPhone 13.
Amtrak P42 188 leads a VERY late Capital Limited down the NS Cleveland line.
Просмотров 8921 день назад
Before going into work, I got wind that Amtrak’s Capital Limited was heading down the Cleveland line almost four hours behind schedule. For context, the Capital Limited usually passes through Ravenna around 2 or 3 in the morning. While not unheard of to run through around 7:00 am, it’s not a common sight. For railfanning in Ravenna for over five years now, this is the first time I’ve been able ...
Flite Fest 2024; 10 Years of Flight and Fellowship

2024 marked ten years since Flite Test began holding their annual event, Flite Fest. Held at Furey Field in the tiny town of Malvern, Ohio, Flite Fest brings in hundreds and if not thousands of people from across the country and even across the globe. With the exception of 2020 due to the pandemic, Flite Fest has been a yearly event where pilots bring various aircraft ranging from the simple to...
Wings Over Edgewater 2024
Просмотров 291Месяц назад
Over Memorial Day weekend 2024, I made my annual trek to Flite Test headquarters for their annual “Wings over Edgewater” event. While the weather in the morning wasn’t the greatest, I still had fun! It was a fun time of flight and fellowship and I always have a good time meeting up with old friends and checking out what Flite Test is up to. Enjoy some of the shots I was able to get (including t...
NS 260 with VERY damaged Siemens SC-44 Charger.

Catching wind that NS intermodal train 260 was coming through with a damaged Siemens SC-44 Charger in tow, I knew I had to catch this! The engine in question was damaged in June of 2023 when it collided with a water truck in California. Unknown why it’s going east however. Maybe Juanita? Filmed off iPhone 13.

While waiting on a Siemens Charger on NS 260, my friends and I were also treated to manifest 11Q with CITX 3082 (an ex-CP SD40-2) and CEBX 4003 (ex-Western Pacific GP40). No idea where they were going. It was a pleasant surprise while waiting for the main event! Filmed off iPhone 13.

@@gsrailfann5025😂 eh. Maybe a little. But that’s a “later” problem. ;)
Sorry about being in your shots
All good 😊
B&O acquired 42.88% of WM in 1928. These shares were put into a trust as ordered by the ICC. When C&O purchased B&O in the 1960's, the trust was dissolved and C&O/B&O acquired the remaining WM shares that they didn't already own. At that point, the WM was taken over outright, with consolidation occurring in 1975.
i was thinking that if i went there i would try to do something stupid like making Caprino Ca.60 Noviplano. AND there it was. flying with all it's 9 wings.
Lucky! Iconic plane!

Awesome footage, thank you
.Good video, like.
Nice rumble👍
Easily one of my favorite locos on my collection, but she doesn’t get to do this kind of assignment much…that was fun!
Easy!
@gsrailfann5025 time for 100!
Geez…that’s one heck of a catch! 😮
An absolutely beautiful locomotive
I actually have two of those beautiful little locomotives. Mine are numbered 7 and 8, and are painted up in fancy black and red paint schemes with yellow letters and painted boiler bands. Locomotive 7 is meant to represent the standard USRA style 2-10-0s, while locomotive 8 has a more industrial appearance. They’re both very nice engines, and I really enjoy them both.
I blame my love of trains on the Chessie System. I grew up very close to two crossings and would see trains pass with their colorful locomotives and caboose. I thought it was awesome.
Epic! The live steam club I belong to has a lot of members with Chessie System equipment. Definitely holds a special place in my heart, too.
I have been waiting forever to see this unit lead and it was worth it nice k5h
First time lead
Epic
W catch man, sounds like 1869’s horn

lol! Glad I caught it on camera then! 😂
Have loved this plane since middle school as well.... Could never understand why, it has this mystical vibe to it. Awesome build, brings me back.
Beautiful, but the music was too loud, couldn't hear the train.
Awesome S5T
Nice video, where was this filmed
Thanks! Filmed in Ohio.
Nice catch. That's a cool locomotive.
Thanks! Nothing beats an EMD.
Good catch
Thanks!
Great heritage catch and nice video
I missed this by a day, thought I'd be seeing it the sunday before & got a 594 instead! I did get 8184 though, so I can't complain all too much. Nice catch!

Some Awesome Camera Work on this Video. Nice Job 👍

It’s certainly a first 😅
