Hello! I feel honored to get asked by you! I lived in Nagoya for over 5 years to study (+ doing part time job too), and I’d say it's a comfortable city that offers a nice balance between busy areas and quieter ones. It's not as fast-paced or crowded as Tokyo. My school and job were close to my apartment, so I rode my bike everywhere and avoided the rush hour on public transport-lucky me, haha. The subway system is super efficient, and getting around is pretty easy. The cost of living is lower than Tokyo, especially rent, which made budgeting as a student manageable. There are affordable supermarkets and tons of good, cheap places to eat.Actually as i was studying and working, i dont really have that much time to explore so you can say i know nothing about ‘fun places’ lol Also, keep in mind that people cant speak english (like at all) so i think it is better if you have a liiiitttle bit of japanese skill! or at least always have translator app with you haha Sorry for the late reply and sooo long reply i like to yap lool. Which school are you planning to enroll in?

iya sih kak sebenernya kekkou takai untuk 1k, tapi menurutku juga lumayan untuk harga segitu karena locationnya enak banget kak deket ke mana mana, apa lagi ke 2 eki chikatetsu dan desha jadi aku happy happy aja haha wah nakamuraku lumayan banget tuh kak 2.5man. iya biasanya kalo yang penempatan gitu dapet keringanan banyak banget ya kak yachinnya. semoga apaatonya nyaman ya kak!! jangan lupa bikin apartment tour :p

@@wildanfaisol8947 possible kok kak, tapi kayanya agak susah sedikit. di tambah gak semua apartment yang disewakan mau nyewain untuk orang asing😅 jadi semakin berkurang pilihan yang ada

i mean you cant "legally" do that. but a lot of places will give you more than 28 hours shifts if you ask them tho

¥250.000 / month is sufficient for a month, even more than enough, not too tight, so you actually can relax with that much money, as long as you dont live in the center of the city (Near nagoya station or something) as the rent will be high haha

you can try joing groups on facebook! there are a lot of facebook groups for foreigners living in japan!

i know right!! we literally "lost" a looott of money because of those taxes and bills!! and i feel like i cant even do the "living my life to the fullest" because i never have time, and when i do, i dont have the energy??? unfortunately life in japan is not as cute as those people are imagining loool
