Well I never actually got a chance to hook them up to my car, I eventually got some brand new ones and had to do a little wiring work, but I used no amp, just a aftermarket stereo

You can always change the settings on the car radio

if you hard wired your speakers, there is a solid chance you wired them, or one out of phase. No matter the orientation of the wires, the speaker will still play. a speaker is just a motor, just like a motor on a drill. When you reverse the polarity of the drill it simply spins the opposite direction, and same applies to a speaker. The big difference is, even with the trained ear, it can sometime be difficult to point out at times. if you have a speaker wired opposite to the others, you then create the opposing sound wave, and sound then cancels. This cancellation is noticed mostly when low frequencies are played. Double check using a schematic from an established source, or use the proper speaker harnesses sold separately (vehicle specific) to ensure proper wiring.

Yes you do. I don't think the others quite understand what an amp is. Any speaker will require an amplifier - whether it's built into the head unit or as a seperate component

Without a box you can barely hear the bass, but when mounted in a car or a box, it has deep rich bass, just check out some of my other videos on this speaker

@@Leo-ef2tc it's jbl 6x9 car speaker, other way to search it is by putting JBL GX963, plus it's pretty cheap with amazing bass and sound quality
