I don't disagree with Dylan being number one because of his lyrics However, in no way shape or form Should Paul Mccartney be in front of John Lennon Not Only for songwriting, but definitely for Lennon Writing more sophisticated and thought provoking lyrics. I would have preferred Lennon and Mccartney Both being number 2 as a song writing team. That would have made more sense.

I mean if you are actually a fan of music then you should first realize that having "Top10, Top100" lists are dumb to begin with since music is a form of art and cannot be ranked as such. My primary point was to emphasize that John Lennon/Jimmy Hendrix are overpraised because they died "before their time." This happens in all forms of art and tends to idolize artists who may not be as good as their posthumous reputations lead people to believe. I can understand you disagreeing but at the very least say something intelligent next time with that brain of yours......God forbid I have to sit online an destroy you with my knowledge of music or how my point above has been proven already by a bunch of ivy league graduates.

Paul #1. Dylan's song were great but only in one genre. Folk. No Elenor Rigby or Penny Lane. Dylan is somewhere in the too 10 but again a folk guy.
Lennon was just as good as Paul writing songs. Dylan has one of the widest lexicons in the English speaking community.

Is it only me thinking, that Queen fans are always mad if Freddie is not getting the number one spot at everything? I mean he was great. As a singer easily Top 10 if not higher. He was a great songwriter as well, but complaining about John and Paul being above him is just really stupid. You gotta keep in mind, that we are talking about Top 5 greatest ever.
