Don't be too frustrated, Mattman. You did beat an SPL team away. I grew up in Ayr and always follow the Honest Men's fortunes. It does look like Ayr are not taking as many chances as they should. Saw highlights of the Stenhousemuir game. That was 1-0 going on about 6-0 Ayr looked so dominant.

Well at least you stayed till the end Matt, that must have been difficult. As I have said before forget about those two matches, Thistle are almost unplayable at the moment. If we had played like this we would already be promoted. So we might be back in the championship next year, or the SPL. We will find it on Sunday. First I am delighted that we are through, make no bones about that, and we thoroughly deserved to do so. Lee Bullens reaction after the match was the mark of a good man. Football can be tough for us at times, and I have sympathy with Ayr supporters, who turned out massively tonight to support their team. As for Thistle fans constant chant about Ayr, well that’s sadly part of the game, a part I don’t like. As for Akinyemi being sent off, it was a soft sending off, but raising your hands has a risk, but Aron Muirheads reaction was shameful. But I reckon even if Ayr had finished with 11 we would still have won tonight. All the best to Ayr for next season, you can all be proud of your club, apart from these two games Ayr had a great season, one to be proud of. We wait to see who we are playing in the final, it will be tough for us, but I reckon we will give a good account of ourselves. We may well get promotion, but just as likely we may well return to the best league in Scotland, the Championship. Mat thanks for all your videos son, you keep supporting your team, I know this was tough for you, but you will have your day son.

Ayr are not out of it yet, but they were lucky not to be. Thistle missed three great chances to really finish of the tie. Thistle are playing well, and it will take something special from Ayr to turn this around. But stranger things have happened. Steven Lawless was at his best last night, far to good for us, he should be playing for a bigger club. So lets see what happens next Friday, I am not counting my chickens yet. I am a Celtic fan but grew up in Ayr and still follow them. I remember the glory days when Ayr United were in the old Premier division back in the seventies. It's ridiculous Ayr have been out of the top flight for so long. Somerset Park will always hold a special place in my heart. Let's hope the Honest Men can see off Thistle and play the second bottom SPL team. Imagine if it was Killie? That would be amazing. It would be the biggest football event in the history of Ayrshire!
