sadly remittences are overly dependant in the philippines making the country less financially independant which makes job sources almost invisible and hard to find within the country... government needs to find and invest within itself to be less dependant on OFW's and can grow within creating other oppurtunities that exist outside PH... Tourism is something that can be huge and help if the government can create a responsible tourism agency to promote natural landscape and culture... looking at other tourist destinations to learn and adopt a plan and implement to be successful .. we know ph has already a healthy retail sector, but hospitality/tourism can be a huge job creator... when you can earn a good income at home, cash flows and reaches other sectors of the economy...depending on remittences makes people less motivated. government also needs to create jobs, which when economy improves.. . government will create jobs , healthcare, education, construction and real estate will follow. the ball needs to start rolling in order to get the the country financially independent.
