This video shows the difference in sizing and fit between Sidi shoes Wire 2 Air, Scarpe Sixty, Scarpe Jarin. All the shows in the video are size 44.
That's shocking wear for just 1000 miles. I think what others have hinted at that in that they may have been counterfeit despite buying from a reputable source. Uneven edge to the sidewall and skewed logo label too... I've a pair of these tyres myself with well over 1000 miles on and they look like they're just getting started! Anyway, what did you replace them with in the end? Same again or something different?
I still got mine and spinning as good as new. I have not performed service yet. I use my bike everyday as a road bike (average 30 miles per day.) with no problem. This babies are bomb proof; I take them through any terrain
I got these fitted on my gravel bike today. Its early winter so i had to change to spiked tyres, but i still noticed a big improvement in how my scott speedster performs. I find uphill cycling is easier, i dont have to work so hard, less rolling resistance. Cant wait until the snow dissapears in the spring.
1000miles? lol
I found the opposite, I could not get a Shimano shoe wide enough, found the Lake shoes extremely comfortable.
Excellent! I just got my hands on some Lakes CX1 Carbon on sale for $100. I have rode then couple of times. And so fat, so good. I am waiting a little and will make review. P.S. CX1 are laces…
Great review thank you I'll be getting the schimanos.
how many months of using ?
I would say 4 months max.
Currently I am using Continental GatorSkin with Latex tubes and they perform superb. So smooth and actually really fast. A little pain to install the tubes but it is worth.
Headline should have been, review of Aliexpress Goodyear.......please do the right thing!!
Bought them at www.probikekit.com. I do not recommend buying essential cycling products at the website you are referring; easy way to risk your life. For the contrary, essential parts and safety is were you want to put your money in.
Good video. I'm a sz. 11 US what size would you recommend in the Wire 2 ?
Hello, if you use regular fit, I would go for the 44.5. If they fit you longwise but, are a bit snug wide-wise, it is important to allow for braking period. Is your fit regular or wide?
Fyi, at this moment I have a brand new pair of Shimano RC902 44.5 Wide black for sale. I have those at a good price if you are interested.
Can you tell me how long and wide your feet are?
Using the sizing technique on Specialized’s website, without socks on, and seating with knees at a 90 degree angle: 104mm wide 264mm long These are the measurements of my left foot, which is the biggest one. FYI, just bought some Sidi Shot 2 and they fit really, really good without being wide standard.
@@joselarrarte6964 That is very helpful. Many thanks. Did you buy the recommended size for 264mm length then?
@@Schwinni I bought the S-works 7 size 43 regular. Now, they fitted well but, they were just a bit too tight. Plus, those shoes don’t stretch at all. Thus, had to return them.
@@Schwinni if you are interested, I am selling some RC902 size 44 and 44,5 (both in Wide version). Brand new. Also, I have some Lakes CX403 42.5 wide used like new.
@@joselarrarte6964 Where do you come from? I'm from Germany and sending shoes around the world isn't the best thing to do. Two days ago I ordered the RC902. If they don't fit well and you are living not so far away from Germany, I'm interested.
That is my experience too with the ankle. I even tried one size down, which pushed on my big toe and still the shoe does not hold my foot. I tried other brands… Shimano, Specialized, Scott, DMT… super hold but of course not as wide.
So far, the most comfortable overtime, without being wide version, are the Sidi Sixty; still using them. Todo
Great video !
Would u have chosen 43.5 instead?
In which model?
Last two ones that r little big on u
I’m looking into buying genius 10 N I also wear size 10 reg sneakers
@@saekim1904 I would prefer 43.5 for sure but, they won’t fit me right because I have a wide foot. Not extremely wide but remember that most road shoes are made for skinny, narrow footed people.
@@saekim1904 so, if you have a narrow foot, get the 43.5. But if your foot is on the wide side, get the 44.
Thank you. It is really hard to find useful information about this tyre.
I decided to post my own review because most of the information out there is not accurate. Most people do reviews in hopes of getting sponsored; thus, I believe the info is very deceiving.
Thanks for the review! I'm waiting for a pair in 32mm for long distance cycling but I'm afraid they won't last long... Anyway this seems like their only drawback!
Agree, the only drawback is longevity. As far as speed they are excellent. As far as comfort, comparing them to GP5000, not even near; GYs are way more comfortable.
What are you riding over?
Meaning surface? Regular pavement on the road. South Florida roads. Bought the tires in November last year (2021.)Really comfortable but not very long lasting.
@@joselarrarte6964 thats a lot of damage in less than a year, time for a change of tires
@@willisix2554 the tires went to war !
