Hi. So for my Fathers Day Project. I went to Lowe’s and picked up some 2x2 insulation foam and decided to try to build an airboat. I also managed to build a foam hot cutter but my hands were not so steady lol. Using parts from my FT Arrow a2208 2600kv motor. No the yellow esc is obviously hobbywing esc, big companies do this to take control of both markets
Do you have a list of stuff you use? I connected a 2s lipo to mine and the cable melted 😅
I use a BEC. I have several that are really good. From 3 amps and up. Currently I’m using the 8 amp HTIRC BEC

Really cool looking with the retracts and the painting! I also see you have the FT Goblin built, I have the plans for both, which one do you recommend building and flying first?
The goblin is a much easier straight forward build. Larger goblins fly great. The flerken enlarged next much modification and reinforcement. I’d say build them both and enjoy them both. ! Both are very different.

Hi there. The plans are available here. You have to scale it up yourself. I used adobe acrobat to scale up. Each scaled up version will require modifications. It’s a process best done with patience. Enjoy!!!! It’s a great flyer large!!

5 pounds and 9 ounces. With battery to balance an addition 1 pound and 13 ounces. Total all up weight 7lbs 6oz

Motor, battery, propeller size specs?
Hi there. The motor was an underpowered days motor with no measurement on it. It was a little bigger than a 3536 1000kv. What it needed was at least a 4250 80kv motor. The esc I used was 60 to 80 amp. Can’t quite remember which. The video is pretty old. The prop was a 10x6x4. Battery 6s. 2x3sx2200mah batteries I’ll be switching it all to the 4250 800kv motor. 80amp esc and a 12x6 prop.

Yesss it was severely underpowered. It now has a 4250 800kv motor with a 10x6x4 prop. Much much better.

Great model but you need realistically dimensioned landing gear I believe. Not discrediting the model as it is totally an awesome build. Just saying is all, and will give you allot safer landings in the long future of the build hopefully. How do you prefer to size up your plans
I size up the plans in Adobe Acrobat poster size it and it splits the pages for me. Works great.
have you ever thought about a meetup and fly
Very impressive build and flying. I've got the FT kit build and like the way it flies. However, takeoffs for me are sketchy (wheels not aligned) and I've yet to make a landing without nosing over.
