This is the sort of story telling that bridges generations. My younger son went to Uni & then lived in Newscastle around 2010 - 2015. So I RUclips Bob Hudson' Newscastle Song. (Circa 1973). When I visited, Saturday night dinner out, warm evening, jumped in his Toyota Camry and expected back to my caravan park spot at Stockton. (Grey nomad) Nup, off to Hunter St - "see Ma, it's still the same." Yep, up Main, broom brmm ... "Now, let's get outta here. My car doesn't fit." Lol. I suspect your songs wiĺl do the same. ( There's a 36 year age gap. So he was 20 at the time. The Newcastle Song made the age gap disappear.)

Totally agree Sarah - x factor had her singing songs that I didn't think were always suited to her voice. She was my favourite act though - was sad to see her go - her voice is amazing!
