A week later we went back and as expected, the lake was covered w...

@@MrWhitneywalker WOW!!! I finally went hiking on Del Valle this past Sunday (the day before Labor Day), and you weren't kidding! Once at the top of the initial steep hill, its non-stop gorgeous! I did a two-hour out-and-back hike. The clouds kept it comfortable (mid-70s). There were plenty of hikers, joggers, dog-walkers, and boaters in sight; close enough to hear their occasional laughter, yet still far enough away to give me pleasant solitude. It was a flat-out perfect way to spend a day off! THANK YOU for making me aware of this excellent trail!!!

No wonder catching a great size fish is hard to come by, because they were taken home and eaten. As opposed to releasing him back into the water to continue to ferlize his genes back into the river where big trout live so you or someone else can catch them again. That’s why one can catch a limit of pan size. I can understand this, at least. Just saying…..

What a great trip to Reno and back! Some interesting information about the Reno train station. As you know today the station is below ground level where it’s in a trench as it runs under the streets, but it wasn’t always that way! If you were in Reno in the early 2000’s or before that, they used to run the trains at ground level where they were running them through the streets! Those days of street running trains at Reno were all over after the construction of the Reno train trench got completed in late 2005 as the tracks were moved under the streets!
