Love it Jules mate nice collection of pots mate 👊👊
Thank you Andy, should keep me busy for next Spring, hope all is going good for you.
What a haul!
Thanks Scott, will be looking forward to repotting season :-)
Looking forward to this one Jules! I hope you are well mate
Thanks Alex. Yes all good here :-) hope all is going great for you.
I let the seeds of ginko sit in the garden in their skin for the winter and bring them in on April 1st ( true first day of the new year) set them into a container with a lid and on my furnace.
Thank you for the good content. It’s really helpful to me.
Thank you I am pleased you find the content helpful :-)
Now I see why you're putting the time in to document them all!!! What a collection mate
Thank you Scott :-) Keeping me out of mischief.

Brilliant update! Everything is growing well and looking fantastic. Nice work Jules
Thanks so much Alex it's greatly appreciated. Trust all your trees are growing well. Are you doing an update with Xavier this year ? 💚
Awesome update Jules, everything is growing really well!
Thank you Jonas :-) The trees have been loving all the rain. Hope all is good and your trees are growing well. 💚
First 👍👍 love the new logo Jules 💪 Thanks for the update, all is looking lush and healthy ❤
Thank you Dan. Think the logo looks better. Hard to get something that looks good in such a small size. The trees have been loving the rain. Hope all is good and your trees are growing well. 💚
Beautiful video, especially with the sounds
Thank you so much for your comments :-)
Great update Jules there all growing really well mate awesome stuff
Thank you Andy :-) hope all your trees are growing well. 💪💪
Thanks for the show around, looking great
Thank you for watching and your kind comments :-)
Good idea on letting things grow. Too many people chop everything off then blame the training pots for the lack of trunk girth.
Thanks for watching and commeting. Yes I feel it is important to let trees grow well to put lots of energy back. And trunks and branching will soon be thickening. :-)
Great catch up Jules. Everything is looking good
Thank you Alex. Hope all your trees are growing well. :-)
Everything is looking cool Jules 👍👍
Thanks Gavin keeps me busy watering :-)
it was nice to hear your story, Jules. Sorry to hear about your lower spine. focusing on the good things (because there is always bad things) is the way to be 💚 The view from your kitchen! fantastic💚 you are all in! look at all the trees 😎💪 ( a bit miffed i missed this one and am so late to see it. keep going strong Jules)
Thank you for your kind words Jonathan. It is great to have bonsai and growing trees as a creative outlet. It keeps me focused in the moment and grateful for what I have. I hope all your trees are growing well. Bit quiet for bonsai videos as everyone is busy watering and pruning. Keep doing what you love. 💚
Cool experiment Jules, very akin to some root over rock seedlings I did I’ll have to show you. How’s best to get ahold of you mate?
Thanks Jonas :-) They are still growing well so far. Not had any luck finding deep pots for small seedlings here in the uk. Will send you a Facebook message as cant see how to send messages by RUclips. 💚
If you get some spare time, I would love some more videos about your sageretia's. Especially about being outdoors in the UK.
Monterey pines wow! Fantastic Jules, these are notoriously difficult to germinate despite producing seed so readily. I may like to purchase one from you when i eventually visit you one day. Take care mate and keep the videos coming 💚
Thank you so much Jonas :-) Yes was a nice gift. Will try some from seed. There are lots planted in Cornwall as the grow very quickly and are used for windbreaks. I have quite a few trees with Yours and Dans name on for gifting :-) Take care and thanks for your support 💚
Great video Jules mate 👊👊
Thanks Andy. These are meant to be very quick growers 💪💪
Very impressive collection Jules and hard earned success. lots of respect 💚
Nice collection Jules mate Liked the music too fella 👊👊
Thank you so much Andy. Greatly appreciated mate. Hope all your trees and projects are doing great. 💪💪
@@gaiabonsaicornwall got some big decisions to make on my larches next week and I’m scared 😂😂
@@Bonsaicrazy I'm sure your trees will be happy with your work on them. 🙂
This is so inspiring! Thank you for taking the time to create this video. The music is so peaceful and I appreciate getting the names of each plus the year you planted. Do you sell seeds? Bravo. Well done!
Thank you so much for watching and your lovely comment :-) I do not sell any seeds myself. However if you are in the UK I can give a link to where I purchased these seeds from. 💚
Really love that Raft style Oak at 1:10 . the accent plant at 2:00 ...i need that in my life lol. the one at 3:04 is something i am putting in my mental tool box ( though repotting would be very involved ). All fantastic trees, but i thought id mention what popped out the most to me 💚
Thank you Jon. Was very inspring to see so many trees and left with lots of ideas. 💚
Very beautiful. Thanks for posting 👍
Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
Nice Jules mate 👊👊
💚 Thanks Andy :-)
Some lovely looking trees there Jules 😍
It was very enjoyable to see the trees today. Got some good ideas. They meet at Grampound between Truro and St Austell. cornwall-bonsai-society.co.uk/ Hope your trees are growing well and you are enjoying the sunshine. ☀
@@gaiabonsaicornwall if only I'd have been into bonsai ten years ago🤣 I lived in Truro back then
Very cool jules, i need to start growing my own moss too
Thank you Dan. Will put together some landscapes and small plantings when it grows enough. I got mine from here:- www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184493651418?itmmeta=01HY8NMA2WTM95PFQHP6TR2PVW&hash=item2af4adb5da:g:qI4AAOSwVA1ilRJf 💚
Awesome project Jules 💚
Thank you Jonas :-) greatly appreciated. Hope all is going well. Hopefully off to the bonsai show later. 💚
Hi, I’ve seen a lot of people saying it’s not essential to stratify BP seeds… people have even reported germination within 10 days straight from the bag into soil mix… I’ve read they just need the 24 soak in warm water and then can be sown and will germinate within 2 weeks or less … I’ve no experience myself but just would like your opinion if that’s ok ? How long did your seeds take to germinate by the way ? Great btw video thank you
Hi and thanks for your comment :-) I have never been able to source fresh seed from a tree. These might well germinate without any need for chilling. The seeds I used were dry so I use a water soak and then a moist chilling period to break the dormancy that sets in when the seeds dry out. They usualy take between 4 to 6 weeks of chilling before they germinate. It does depend greatly on the seed and not all seeds set will grow. So once I find a reliable source of seed I use them again. Hope this helps.
Great video Jules Love the new saplings mate. Hope they do well for you mate 👊👊👊
Thank you Andy :-) Greatly appreciated
The majority of my trees were from seeds, so i already am enjoying this 💚 very chill Jules, very chill 💚
Thank you Jon it is greatly appreciated. I really enjoy growing from seeds. Good luck with all your seedlings 💚
enjoyed the catch up and i loved the outro 💚 also is that an as at 15:41 ? i think i have a wild one that volunteered in the veg garden that just popped up....the leaves are compound and look alot like that 💚
Thank you Jon :-) glad you enjoyed the video. Could be the mountain ash or Rowan you are refering to (Sorbus aucuparia) Had red berries and red/ orange Autumn foliage colours. The birds enjoy eating the berries which have the seeds inside. They do grow quite quickly so would make a nice bonsai. 💚
Your very own garden center. Love it!
Thank you :-)
Thanks 😊
Thank you :-)
Thank you for the useful information Jules.
You are very welcome glad you found it interesting :-)
good extensions on those and looking healthy. i am actually very close to pruning at least one of mine . Apex growth on that second one is explosive ! thats what i like to see 💚
Thank you Jonathan :-) Chinese Elms are very vigorous growers. Good luck with yours. The ones I pruned back in this video are now making new extension growth. 💚
Good work. I've just subscribed
Thank you :-) It is greatly appreciated.

First 💪💪 great little video Jules, your maple is looking lovely mate
Thank you Dan 💚 What is the weather like where you are ? Still quite cold and gloomy here. Hope all your trees are growing well :-)
@@gaiabonsaicornwall yep same here mate, a bit chilly and wet, but slightly warmer than a couple weeks ago. Trees are all growing well thanks mate 👍
@@thebonsaiprojectkernow Great news :-) Looking like a warm Bank holiday.
Hey Jules, awesome video 😎 I just collected a load of seeds from a giant redwood while on holiday in Inverness. I’ve gone straight to the moist kitchen towel as I figured they’ve just had a cold period up north lol. I’ll let you know if I get any to germinate this way (I hope I do I really would love to grow them) Also I have two costal redwoods, I’ve found they take from cuttings fairly successfully 😁
Thanks so much Jonas. :-) Great you have some collected seeds from Scotland. Wishing you the best of luck with germination. They should grow super fast. Hopefully the coastal redwoods will be germinating soon, thanks for the info on cuttings. Keep growing 💚
How long did you leave them in the bag before transferring to cotton wool Jules? I haven't seen this method used before, do you think it's better?
Put them in the bag on 6th March 24. Potted the germinated seeds up today. Might have worked just as well on moist cotton wool or paper towel for the moist chilling. Glad I got a few to germinate. Should be quick growers :-)
