Fountain
Recap from my Hoopcamp Minis workshop for a move called the fountain. This is my take on the move - there are many different variations on the move that actually look very similar.
I have the red hoop in my right hand and the silver in my left. If you are having a hard time remembering which of your hands matches up with mine, feel free to put a piece of red tape on your hoop while you work through this tutorial.

Front Waistwrap

Recap from my Hoopcamp Minis workshop for a move called the front waist wrap. This is a super cool move that hardly any mini hoopers are doing and it is a great move to do on fire because there are no surface switches! Yay! Make sure you don't hurt yourself while working on this trick. If your wrists, arms or body get tired, give it a rest and come back tomorrow or next week. It will be okay - ...
1.5 Beat Inspired Weave

Recap from my Hoopcamp Minis workshop for a move I call the 1.5 Beat Inspired Weave. (If you don't already know the 1.5 beat weave, you should check out my video recap on that move before trying to move onto this one.) I really like this trick because it looks different from a regular 3 beat weave and it's a little more interesting than the 1.5 beat weave. You can rock this one to music because...

Recap from my Hoopcamp Minis workshop for a move I call the 1.5 Beat Weave. This is a fun and relatively easy move. I like it because it's pretty darn unique. I have the red hoop in my right hand and the silver in my left. If you are having a hard time remembering which of your hands matches up with mine, feel free to put a piece of red tape on your hoop while you work through this tutorial. On...

Aaah Seattle - a town of such creative lovelies! An accidental turn down a wrong road introduced me to these beautiful houses and almost sent me crashing into a bus. I couldn't take my eyes off of them! All the houses were amazing, but I was particularly struck by a pair that had been tied together with bright red straps. I decided that they were so spectacular that I needed to celebrate their ...

Taylor Daynes & Michelle Hazzard - we want to participate! Here's our entry for the Hooping.org Amazing Hoop Race project. We live in Seattle, WA and even though we didn't do much hooping in this video, we have a lot of hooping to share with the world. We decided that instead of showing you our home, we'd show you something much more important - where we keep our hoops!
Nuclear Power Hoop
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.13 лет назад
During a recent camping trip, my boyfriend and I ran across an unfinished nuclear power plant in Satsop, WA. It was an odd backdrop and we decided to drive up and make a video. According to Wikipedia, construction began in the late 1970s but was stopped in the 1983 after a $961 million budget shortfall, leaving the plant 76% complete. Because of the controversy surrounding the construction and ...
Mini Hoop Tutorial: 2 & 3 Beat Weave - Behind the Back
Просмотров 36 тыс.13 лет назад
This is my first hoop tutorial! I hope I explained the ideas well enough for you all to understand. This is a pretty advanced trick - you'll need to know the 2 & 3 beat weaves in front of your body before starting to learn this move.* In the middle I reference a link to a tutorial for the behind the back figure 8 with staff. Here's that link: www.homeofpoi.com/lessons_all/teach/Reverse-Figure-8...

A Rope Hoop Experiment

Here's a little experiment I did over the summer...rope hoop! While at the park one day, I was inspired by some rope dart spinners and decided to try attaching a rope to my hoop. There are a ton of rope dart tricks that I still need to learn, but here's some early footage of me practicing with my new toy.

Ugh I am fine until the part where you go into reverse weave transitioning into the windmill.... I keep going from reverse weave into a huggers weave :/

i can do it with both hands but i cant figure out how to start the two beet without smacking the hoops
This video was wonderfully helpful!
