Hi, Interested from India, can you guys are do export. And it can be in India too. Rgds
So talk regular crown molding, take 1 x 2 cut correct angle on 1 side glue and brad nail to back of crown so has correct angle so can be caulk to wall and then finish nails for rest . A little hvac joint sealing foil tape & voila you ready to go.

I really really loved your video. ☺️ you were so pleasant to listen to. This is a look I’ve been seeing in a lot of Korean home aesthetics when I’m watching tv ….. the rich homes they always have bank recessed walls and edges around every room that puts this type of indirect lighting in. Would I be able to do this with a flat ceiling? Perhaps if I lower the crown moulding a little? Hmmm….. I really want to make this happen. I have no ceiling electrical options in my living and dining room! Gahhhh lol
Useful information. Thank you ❤
14:29 how is it possible that it doesn't require any electricity? magic?
Buongiorno, mi potrebbe dire per favore le misure della cornice grazie
Thank you for this awesome video. I want to install this type of lighting in our daughter's room which has the exact same slope at the top 12 1/2" of the walls as the room shown in your video. I was thinking that the crown should go at the top of the slope. I hadn't thought of placing it at the bottom. Is it a no-no to put it at the top? Our daughter's room is about 11ft 5" square. Would the strip lighting produce enough light to be used as the main lighting for the room or would we need to add can lights in the ceiling as well. (There is no overhead lighting in this room, just a ceiling fan with no light.) TIA
I checked, but none of the hardware stores around me had any tuba 4s.
Caulk though? It shrinks and sounds like they will eventually popping off the wall after a few months
I have manufactured and sold this lighting for almost 23 years. I have not had one single customer or comment about crown molding coming off the wall because of painter caulk. It bond so well that you would have to pry the crown molding off of the wall. So it all respect your comment is not legitimate. Thank you.
I think it is Leviton, not Lexington.
Awesome I have a few questions. 1. Can you wire these directly in to light dimmable light switch? 2. Can you use a light diffuser track instead of crown molding? 3. If you use a light diffuser track the wago connector would not fit can you remove those and use a different connector or solder the wires together?
There are different dimmers for different power supplies and LED light types. So it all kind of varies.
looks like a great idea but that crown moulding site doesn't work anymore!
Please what is the importance othe reflective tape?
Great idea
Glad you think so!
good video...
Wow, great video. I installed my crown mouldings recently. I chose the EPS plaster-coated covings which are very durable & still lightweight. If you're looking for a good coving supplier I can honestly recommend one company from the UK. Google them - Homemerce.

Is it available in India pls let me know the details
thank you for sharing!
Any reviews available for this light system? Seems like the best option. Haffele is super expensive.
Great video! How do you clean the crown moulding when dust settles on it?
Feather duster or a blow dryer on cool.
You rock!
Love the content! I’m working on a custom home now as an electrician and these videos have changed the quality of my work! Awesome work sir!

If you have a house fire with this foam Moulding it with over power you in seconds with the fumes and you may DIE. Be warned people !!!
does the reflective tape cause any problems with heating? sometimes leds can get hot without the diffusers, so im just curious
Thats a good question. Our strips are the heaviest copper strips on the market. Most strips come in a 2-3 OZ. There is no heat sink for heat to dissipate. Ours are a heavy custom made 6 OZ! You should never use a metal aluminum tape. The tape should be on the back of the strip and never covering any chips. We us sell a mylar reflective tape.
@@crownmoldingledlighting3674 oh awesome sauce! thank you
So you don’t recommend Bluetooth LED controllers?
We use RF "Radio Frequency". No Bluetooth, Wifi, or hubs are needed. it just easier!
Why does the crown molding look like it’s made of styrofoam?
It looks that way because it's white. Styrofoam is a brand name of Dow chemical. Actually all white foams are not Styrofoam! Styrofoam is actually blue. We call it foam crown molding because that's what people relate to. It's actually polystyrene. Polystyrene is made several ways. It can be extruded, expanded and molded. Polystyrene can be made almost as light as a feather or 20% harder than Wood. In this case it is molded under high pressure and is a high density material. The surface is as smooth as a piece of copy paper. Thanks for your interest.
@@crownmoldingledlighting3674 Ya I couldn’t put Foam Crown molding up… LOL
Hi! Is the lightning enough to light up room or still need to have an extra lamp?
IT WILL GIVE YOU PLENTY OF LIGHT BY ITSELF.
💯💯
Nice
It's so funny how there are a million videos of a tacky setup with the strips facing directly outward. This is such an easy process that makes it look so much better.
Not me who actually think bare leds look cool
do you have LED strips that are hard wired in?
Each end of the LED strips have wires on them. They all snap together. Uses 120V - 24 VDC
Professional explanation, direct to the point. Thanks!
Very professional. Excellent info. Thank you very much sir for sharing your expertise.
Only worried if it may have fire safety issues
It might shock you but our foam crown moldings have a class A fire rating. They have been tested. Safe for you home! Here is a link from a certified testing lab: They have fire retention materials made in them. www.styrofoamcrownmolding.com/class_a_fire_rated_foam_crown_moldings.html
Hi there, what’s it like connecting two pieces of moulding together as in side by side. Are there any gaps visible?. If so how can you get rid of them?
Go to www.austincrownmolding.com and watch there videos.
If you have a long section made of multiple pieces, you should saw both ends at an angle, super glue them together before install, some light sanding and painting for a invisible seam
Do these have color?
Yes we will have long run hi power led strips in a few weeks. Will will run up to 85 feet on one power supply. With full power. visit this link to sign up for updates. crownmoldingledlighting.com/contact-us-crown-molding-LED.html
The first of May we will have our long run LED systems ready to build up for your project.
Is all pwm dimming bad for LEDs?
Yes the cheap stuff sold on amazon and ebay is! We use phase dimming.
Excellent overview but it left a few questions unanswered. How do you address voltage drop over long LED runs? Are RGB LED strips available? How are joints between lengths of crown handled? I HATE installing crown but this system is very tempting.
Voltage loss?? We use the heavy 6 oz copper strip custom made for us. The heaviest. I think you might find is 4 oz out there. We do not sell the crown molding. For Crown Molding visit: www.styrofoamcrownmolding.com They can take good care of you. Their crown molding with the flat back design is perfect for a good look in a home and the prefect match for Crown Molding LED lighting. For Color RGB strips? Keep watching on our website: www.crownmoldingledlighting.com About the end of March 2021 we will have some heavy 6 oz strips that can run up to 84 feet with very low voltage and light loss. Send us your link to get on our mailing list from our contact page.
@@crownmoldingledlighting3674 Thanks much for the detailed reply. The circumference of my room is 65-feet so I will definitely get on your mailing list.
excellent and Very clear video, I am sure I will be calling in the near future once my renovation is more complete
This is nice. Do you guys also ship to foreign country's?
Sorry we are just selling in the USA.
You need to find a buyer because there is a market for home improvements here in UK since we are all stuck indoors and nothing else to spend our money on! I'm one of them!
@@oasiscat5828 what is the shop called?
Going to get this ASAP!
Thank you for the video, its very helpful.
This is perfect to my small house!
Nice video. Are these LED's bright enough to light the room adequately as the primary source of light without any other lighting? I want to light my kitchen with indirect light like this as the only source of light for bright, glare free upward facing indirect light.
No, wouldn't be bright enough & even if extremely high output, you wouldn't get the right light spread or should I say directional light...
It all depends on the size of your room, color of your walls, your ceiling, your cabinets, your counters and your age. The older you are the more light that is required. In most cases you might require another light source in the room.
This is indirect lighting, also known as ambient lighting. It is not a main lighting source like a lamp or ceiling light. It is intended for mood not for reading
AWSOME timing !! For this video . I’m installing crown on my kitchen cabinets and want to put led lights on the crown & underneath the cabinets as well
Yes this may tilt the balance for not requiring another light source like recessed cans.
Such a great video . Thank you so much
Fantastic information. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for taking the time to post this.
