I absolutely ADORE that you could tell no one really knew the words to overpower her voice. I've watched this over and over, she just does it so beautifully.

When she covers a song, she makes it hers. By that I mean so fucking boring.

The drummer really does amazing work in this song, all of the band do tbh - these sort of powerful emotive songs require a delicate balance in dynamics and these guys really nail it imo.

you can really hear how much lucy loves the lyrics. like, when she sings my teeth like sutures, my mouth like a wound you can tell she's really stoked she gets to do this, and that kinda makes me cry a little bit

My favorite part by far about Julien Baker herself is how there are always about 6-10 comments about her personally outside of Boygenius but all of those comments are about how she affected your life personally thru music.

She really warmed all our hearts in this funny moment and then proceeded to annihilate us emotionally with not one, but two of her saddest/most emotional songs
