New subscriber THANKS for sharing your tips! My father was in th US Air Force for 30 years, and my mother was a stay at home mom to 5 children. We did many of the tips you described. As an adult I also am frugal my local thrift store has 50% off once monthly and 30% off weekly. I LOVE IT!! I purchased a small fixer upper house for 100% cash. PRAISE THE LORD! It needed alot of work however I cash flowed the repairs over several years. I have never owned a new car and pay 100% cash for them. I have a GREAT auto repair shop which is close by. I do all my own personal care stuff ( manicure, pedicure, hair cuts, dyeing my gray hair etc). I " mostly " eat from home sometimes I just have to have some Taco Bell 🔔 😅. I am working on that addiction 😅.

Great finds! Hoping and praying that all is well with you and baby when he comes! I'm due with my second next month and we're always on the lookout for diaper deals! We found an unopened big box of Huggies at a garage sale when we were out walking one day. We snatched that up and probably looked ridiculous with it propped on the top of our stroller for the rest of our walk. Blessings to you and your growing family!

Hi, AnnaLisa! When you go shopping, its an EVENT!!! . . . Question about when you go to Kroger's : my Kroger's has - depending on when you go in - done away with cashiers: it's all self checkout. And I won't do it - they're not even giving me a discount for doing there jobs, is how I feel about it, and I've abandoned a full cart for that reason. Frankly, it gives me the blues, as Krogers has a greater selection of frozens! Has your Krogers moved in this direction, also?

Oh man! My Fred Meyer bakery used to sell the artisan bread with whole garlic cloves in it before they switched to a different bakery brand and it was my absolute favorite! I was really sad when I couldn't get it anymore 😢 That's so funny that you didn't like it!

Oh Annalisa you found so many amazing treasures 🎉at this church sale! The church sales around where I live are generally made up of people selling crafts or stuff they sell professionally like MLMs. I prefer the ones like yours.

We do not have any close by for church sales even though we are in a pretty big city. I will have to check it out more often. But I normally go to the thrift stores or charity shops. I love 💗 that you find some great 👍 items. You should share what you find for your spouse as well. My husband loves shopping with me too. lol but it took years before he agreed to accompany me. Now he loves it. 😊

I love 💕 love that you think 🧐 ahead. I raised two step kids and one ☝️ boy that my husband and I had together in yard sale and thrift store items. I remember one year my husbands ex sent the kids with two sets of clothes for the summer and told my husband you can shop for their summer clothes. Well they had never been yard selling or thrift shopping 🛒. We got them so many clothes and we shopped for the upcoming year as well. They loved it. lol. Although they grew up hating it now that they are adults. However my baby is now 26 years old and loves to thrift and even sells his vintage finds. Just those boot savings paid for the whole haul. Congratulations on being a great mom. Awesome haul.

If your taste changes with polishing silver, create a paste with water & baking soda. Or, use toothpaste 😂 It works great! (Bonus: a frugal hack ✅)

I always said I’d never thrift stuffed animals but I recently found one I knew my daughter would love for her birthday so I brought it home and washed it well. 👍🏻

Most of today's silver jewelry has a platinum / rhodium finish that doesn't require polishing! You can have sparkle without polishing.

Totally agree with you. What about underwear which has been used? The water bottles which kids have chewed up the spout etc.

What a special treat to get to meet the artist of that lovely painting! Love the clothing you picked up for yourself. They are all so pretty. The baby boy clothes are so adorable. That Strider bike is a wonderful deal and you are so smart to buy ahead when you get a great deal like that. Having a shed is super helpful for keeping these future toys put away in a safe place out of the elements. The little cars and trucks were a really great deal as well. I also love a good magazine and free is always a bargain.

Your little boy is sorted. The bike just needs a balloon tied to it and a helmet.

I love those cute dinosaur books! I read them to my kids when they were little and they loved them. Now I’m a preschool teacher so I still get to read them. ❤️

Be careful with the changing table. You got one without bordes around it. The cover is not going to be attached to the table, so never take your eyes off the baby. They are very quick and very mobile. Lots of my comments don't go through, so you will probably see me adding this one. Edit.
