Keith, did you call the theatre the "Granada" ? it's the Grand theatre. You should come back one day and take a tour of the Grand and see all the work they have done fixing it up inside. The diner you saw was called "The Whistle Stop", in reference to the railroad tracks across the street on business 287. I have eaten many a hamburger there at the Whistle stop. I have been in each of those buildings back when they were in operation you showed on your video. My family moved to the area in 1876 so my family was there before the town was there or the area even had a railroad. Back then when the railroad came there it was just a watering hole for Waggoner cattle and the railroad would load cattle there. It was known as "Beaver Switch" referencing the railroad switch siding that they would put cattle cars on to load cattle. The name Beaver came from Beaver Creek south of town which my family settled on. The brick streets in Electra were made there north of town there is a kiln chimney that still exists where they made the bricks. There is quite a few interesting little known places around Electra that are of some historical interest. The Buick Electra car was named after the town of Electra after the president of the Buick division of GM came and stayed in Electra.

My Mothers parents, Whit and Ruby Reid were some of those early Electra citizens. Lots of stories "down by the river". We had our Family reunions of several years in the community center by the school.

Thank you for sharing this Keith I have a friend that lives in Elektra he's off of highway 25 I can't remember if that's a state highway or farm to market road but anyway he lives on avenue b I was able to see things in Elektra that I haven't seen before thank you for sharing this.
