Its not that i dont wanna be in love . This song really makes you question my love life. After being heart broken it’s really hard to believe that what is being told to me is genuine or it’s just for the moment. And I feel selfish for protecting my feelings like I do rn and I’m not the same

It is selfish to leave someone and try to hope they don't fall for someone new. I don't belong to you and you don't belong to me. To have to be on the receiving end of this song is not a place I hope anyone has to experience. I am in that place. Ironically I needed this breakup though to understand a little more of her perspective that she refuses to sit down and talk about, also to learn about the many flaws I have in myself. It's been 51 days since the last time I truly held out, waiting for closure I deserved. But 51 days ago I realized my closure was all her actions and not her words of the 2 years we spent together. She can say whatever she wants now but all my life family has taught me leaving is always an option but should never be the choice you make. I told her I was never leaving and I never did. She told me she was also never leaving but she did. I know it's not that simple but it's enough for me to accept that I should be moving on from this version of her who believes leaving is the way people should be experiencing and living life. Nobody deserves to be abandoned but nobody deserves to feel like they can't breathe while in love. You don't get to choose your family but you make the most out of it and you don't leave them. Things get hard, things get toxic, in return, things get easier, things get better. You cannot have one without the other having existed whether for a short or long period. I will not wait to rekindle a fire with her, but I will be waiting for that mature conversation with her. When she has stopped running away from all her problems and issues, when she finally realizes space and distance is not the answer to everything.
