Sutter Health Kahi Mohala, Hawaii’s only freestanding, not-for-profit psychiatric hospital, continues a tradition begun in 1983 of comprehensive behavioral health rehabilitation, recovery and personal growth for patients from age four through adult. In 1993, Kahi Mohala became part of the Sutter Health family and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

Kahi Mohala is Hawaiian for “a place to blossom, open and shine.” Located in Ewa Beach, its 14-acre park-like campus hosts a five-building inpatient facility with 88 licensed beds. Experienced and culturally sensitive staff work with patients in a safe and positive environment with the aim of reintegrating children and adolescents into home and school, and positioning adults to transition in to independent or supported living
