Video Journal: Interstellar Ranger
США
Добавлен 24 июл 2021
Interstellar Ranger is the name. I thought it was an interesting name, it was also available. 34, Army Vet. I have had an interesting life thus far and look forward to the rest. Maybe sharing some of those moments here.
I am an introvert, trying to do more. With issues, like most, I find myself not doing anything or engaging with people. I am using this as a method of holding me accountable for the day. This keeps me sober. I've tried different things; this has worked so far.
Some things I look forward to: Yard Work, Random Videos, Nature Videos, Golf, Kayaking, NASCAR races, random trips to parks and events, theatres, amusement parks, state parks, national parks, hiking, auto work, welding, lawn care and many other things. Enjoy each moment for what it is. Not for what it could be. Not for what it should be. Not for what you want it to be. Slow down and enjoy the moments you find yourself in. Every moment you have is yours.

Personal Log: A Bit of all the Logs
All over the place the last few days. I have gotten a lot done. Finishing up what I had of the planks and finally getting the mower fixed to mow the yard. CC has been escaping the yard again. Haven't quite figured out where she is getting out. Thought I solved it moving the boards down. I did not. Golf Log this evening....don't know how well it will go. I burnt my hand on the mower pulley. I don't know why I even grabbed it. I had just watched smoke roll off of it. I just decided I would reach up and try to spin it. Dumb. It'll be a lesson for later. Bye for now.

Kayaking Log: TRR Rendezvous: Tuckasegee
Просмотров 311 часов назад
Had a great time out at Bryson City with Team River Runner. I hated that I didn't get to do the second run on Sunday, something more pressing came up. I got that took care of and hopefully will know more soon. I am still looking into trying to get some scuba certifications. Things may get a bit busier. I need to get done with this house. It's been touch and go with money. I don't know how I got...
Kayaking Log: Splashing down the river.

This one got all over the camera. It zooms in and then gets really choppy at the end. I still managed to catch most of it. Wasn't too bad. Most of the rapids weren't too bad. I managed through them. Getting a feel for the right time to paddle. Listening to the instruction trying to refine my paddling. Fun. Bye for now.

@@interstellar_ranger how was the trip?
@@chrisshelhamer3774 It was great, thanks for asking. Got a good run in on the first day. Learned some new things about things I knew. Great time all around.
Your mom said that once🍄🫡🪖🧀🍺
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ THANK YOU for your Service and Sacrifice Sir!! I appreciate You! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you.
Lovely video guys, this looks and feels so enjoyable!
Thank you. It was an inspiring experience.
They didn't have water at the VA ?
Ehhh... there's a pond and the pipes won't fit the kayak.
Just turn that yard into a vegetable garden. Why waste all that space? 🤷🏽♂️
@hungryguyonabicycle I haven't decided what to do with it yet. With everything else..it's just waiting for me to get to it.
One day I’ll have something like this… one day
It's out there. Just takes some work. Keep focused and complete a task toward it, one day at a time...you'll get there.
Looks like shit why did you not line all the boards up
Well, thanks...the way I did the boards on the door was backwards. I should've cut the bottom one. Shit happens. Learning as I go. Adds character.
Is there a point to this video? I feel as if I should be compensated for wasting my time.
Yea...I wanted to post it. Kinda the point. Also, once you volunteered your time leaving the comment, compensation for wasting your time would be on you.
i take insparation
When stupid ideas have stupid consequences
Wait. Are you blocking off your soffit vents? Is that what you just showed us?
Yes, I am blocking of a few of them. Not all of them. Thought about it. But someone mentioned their importance. I did some research, and I am leaving the corners open. But there is still plenty of vent for the roof between the air inside, the roof vent, and the ones that are left. This being a shed and no separation between the openings and the inside of the shed every two feet seemed a bit much. Hard to keep the temperature stabilized in here.
@@interstellar_ranger You don't want to block them holes, you need them for ventilation. In addition, you will want a one-inch air space behind your insulation in every stud cavity that runs from your soffit to your ridge. Without proper ventilation you can develop moisture and mold.
Ok. How big do these vents need to be? I will do more research. Also, thank you.
Eve and roof ventilation and air circulation are crucial to keeping your roofing dry and not too hot
How much ventilation?
That's an improper window installation, don't repeat it on your new build
Thank you. I won't.
@@interstellar_ranger HaHa.. no offense intended
I would rather know. I am figuring it out.

Sorry for your loss.
🙋♀️💖🫶🐎🐎🐎🐎
Yes. They are great to have around. They always think they are funny.
That was a great break....just too short. Beautiful horses.
Every break is too short. lol They have been a nice addition to the family here. Thank you.
Would love to hear what u are saying about the horses...the mike is not good at all.
Sorry about that. The ponies are a family of four. Mom and Dad. Two Children. Bigger one is said to be a retired police horse. I don't have a handle on all the names yet. The two in the back are piper and sass. Those two have been here for a while. I will work on my audio.
They're beautiful
They are. Good additions to the family.
Dngidbkdggt😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Looking good, do you plan on capping the top?
I don't know what my plan is. I don't think so, though. I have been just kinda feelin it out. I know that I'm going to sand everything smooth. I have never done this before.
@interstellar_ranger If you attach a 2×4 to the outside & one to the top it will give you that finished look & be alot more sturdy. That's generally how you construct the top rail/cap.
Thank you, I appreciate that information. Now I will probably need more wood...I hadn't considered it.
Stand a bit further away from the ball. Keep that front arm straight. Focus on turning your whole body.
Thanks. That seems to be the focus for me right now. Sometimes I get it right, but I don't have a consistent swing yet. I appreciate your advice and will take it to my next outing.
Tell me you shop at harbor freight without telling me you shop at harbor freight lol
Hey, the stuff works. lol
Nice job!
Don't give up on yourself Don't know you from the hole in the wall but i'm rooting for you enjoy your Sunday do something upu like to do or don't do anything live your best life !!!
I will be fine. I have gotten good at bringing myself up. Just couldn't bring myself to work anymore. I appreciate it. Thank you for engaging as well.
I wish you all the best of luck. Bring this brother home.
Park Rangers found him while we were out there. A good ending. We weren't told much due to privacy, but we were told he was found and transported somewhere.
Nice!
that’s pretty cool
What an utterly waste of a RUclips video.
Thanks. But I believe that's up to the creator... and what they want on the channel. Thanks for your engagement, and I hope you find the videos you're looking for.
I hope the 🐕 gets a little friendly
He has a little bit. I still think he is adjusting. It is probably a surprise that we show up instead of his family.
Share some rain. Sooo dry in the panhandle of Florida. All the trees are white with dust.🤷🏼♀️
I wish I could. Some people are getting too much while others aren't gettin any. I stray from complaining, never know when it will be back. Hopefully you all will see relief soon. Just rain, not all that other stuff that comes with rain down there.
Why don't you clean up first then do the oil change. This is a fire hazard.
I cleaned up the pine needles and debris located around the oil inlet and filter. Made for good oil dry for during the change. Trashed all of it. Great point.
Unless you mean the tent. It's dirt and the extension cord hasn't been plugged in for years. lol Risk Management
I now work on small engines and I get upset with the shity attitude of people now and how dam lazy they are, fat and useless 😢
You can tell a lot about someone simply by maintaining their vehicle or equipment. The expectations are for it to just work and continue to do so.
I’m a retired diesel mechanic and I’ve been using same old Murray riding mower for 26 years and I change oil after every 4 hours of mowing It still runs like new and looks great So it cost 6 bucks plus the no corn gas to mow my yard Not bad and I buy air filter 30 at a time also
Yea, I like to talk shit about mine. But it survived the fury of all those before me. Lack of maintenance destroyed the deck. Engine is maintained and runs smoothly. It will probably last for years now, if I protect it and maintain it. Easier to blame the machine. lol
If it was mine I would take the good parts off and get rid of that deck get another decent deck to put back on
Wasn't much for good parts. Bent or broken. I did have some steel and a mig so I made something. Will probably never be an issue again. If I paint the parts I cleaned. I still need to do that. I do appreciate the suggestions though...can never go wrong with more ideas.
Where is your place?
Tucked away in the mountains of Tennessee.
Nice work on your fence
Thanks. Took a bit to get everything together.
Yeah.. adding material here isn’t worth it
Yea. I know. I need one more season out of this thing. Good excuse to buy the welding equipment.
I mean… yes.. but if you’re gonna do anything….
That blade support may cost you an extremity
Yea, everything on these things seem to push you towards just buying something new. On this one, it was pushed, blew up, rebuilt, bearings fell apart, and the deck rusted out. On the broken ear for the blade. I pryed it back, welded to the steel....hopefully it stays. Aluminum, it no like steel. I think I fixed it. Fingers crossed. I get out of this with my welder setup, maybe 1...hope 2 seasons.
@@interstellar_rangerI wouldn’t use this! It’s not worth the injury you could sustain. At least add some more actual sheet material.
What kind is it?
Yard Machine by MTD. 42 inch deck.
You need to put in an engineering board…or at least that’s what my buddy calls them.
An engineering board....What's that?
HEY GUY. Work on your audio!
Personality I just don't know what the hell you're doing you should never been the pulley under the deck that is supposed to be that way it's supposed to be angled like that
That pulley is actually supposed to be straight. Also, the rust that ran down the deck allowed it to rip away from the metal under the load of the belt. And it is a problem that will continue to happen until I replace the deck or put a steel plate there. I appreciate your comments.
😢
JB Weld and tape, my Grandpa’s go to for fixing just about anything.
Yea, it worked out pretty well. The deck seems solid. So hopefully it will hold up under a load. Hope you are doing well.
Why do people feel the need to film themselves so much? I need to go to the bathroom... want to know if it's #1 or #2? Tune in to my short will be live in 5-7 minutes!
