My farther bought in 1960 Hillman 3A but its bit different had meters MPH speedometer others same except body trim. But had to repair the gear box ....synchromesh all the wheels except counter wheel replaced I think though British made transmission is not so reliable as Japanese . But still with me in pristine condition I am 62 yrs old and the car is 64 yrs old I assume its one of the few surviving cars in 100% original condition in Sri Lanka

I was not quite seven years old when my dad traded in his last Hillman for a Valiant. He would have bought another one but they were not importing them anymore back in the fall of '64. As Ray K says, "great little car." (My dad always said they were the best cars he ever owned.)
