This is me performing In the Still of the Night by Boyz II Men at a local school. The voices that you hear singing are me also. I previously recorded them on a loop foot pedal.

okay 100% confused. Ben Rector was playing with Need To Breath...(if i heard correctly) but...this song is so misleading. Is ben rector a Christian artist??
Ben Rector and Young the Giant opened for Needtobreathe. I believe Ben Rector is a Christian artist. If your referring to the lyric "And you don't need Jesus until your here" He's speaking figuratively saying that you're so low when your heart is broken, if you don't normally call on Jesus in times of trouble you will when your feeling this kind of heartbreak. Did that percentage go down a little?

MalloryJayne Yeah the lyrics are saying that one can't possibly navigate a heart break alone and that the only person who can help is Jesus which is what he is referring to when he says, "the confusion and doubts you had up and walk away". Ben Rector is a Christian artist, he was a really well know artist at young life camp but has become more and more popular outside of that though not all of his songs are predominantly Christian, similarly to Andrew Ripp.

You have a wonderful voice mate but may I make a suggestion? Your voice is really bright and cheerful. This song requires more sad emotions. Try putting yourself in the shoes of the person who is in pain, feel their pain.. and let it out in music.

Thanks for the comments and likes! To address a few I didn't have sheet music I just went through and learned it by ear, I'm recording with a Bluebird condenser, and the keyboard is backwards because I forgot to invert it in iMovie haha
