Can i take my drone(mavic air 3s) from Netherlands to india if i have A1-A3 certificate ?
Great and to the point. Thanks. Do you know if it’s possible to find SORA document examples?
@EUDronePort Can a C2 drone fly in an A3 category scenario with just A1/A3 training /registration? As a foreigner living outside of EU, it is challenging to undertake & complete A2 training certification prior to arrival into EU.
Hello! Yes, you can fly a C2 drone in A3, with a A1/A3 training certificate. Training certificates proof that you can fly in a determined scenario, not a determined UAS. We hope this helps 😉
Thank you for proving this information with precision and quality!
It's our pleasure 🙂
Many thanks for the info shared

Hi. I live in the UK and own a DJI Mavic Mini sub 250g drone with camera. I get very confused about exactly what is required to fly my drone for leasure purposes in the E.U. Can you please tell me what, exactly, what I require? Many thanks, Paul Wooldridge.
No flyer id or operator id needed if you fly a sub 250g drone for non business/recreational purposes and away from populated areas.
0:19 120 Meters above ground level or above take-off point? Because the DJI Mini 4 is in C0 category, and has 120 meters above take-off point restriction, which in mountains is kinda ridiculous, because you can still fly 20 meters above ground level, and be 120 meters above take-off point…

Thanks for the informative videos! I was reading the EASA Easy Access Rules (EAR) document, and in section "UAS.OPEN.040 UAS operations in subcategory A3", I read that UAS operations in subcategory A3 can be performed with an uncrewed aircraft that is marked as class C2. But this video shows that open A2 is the only operation a C2 drone can perform. Please clear that up for me.
Hi @erfanroghani, Interesting question. Since A2 is a more restrictive scenario than A3, C2 drones can fly in A3 as well.
Thanks.
Yes, flying here in Spain is a big S___,
Not if you do it with EU Drone Port 😎
I thank you, I am a professional pilot and operator apart from being ATPL 6.800 hours, what I am referring to is that in Spain we are a few years behind with respect to community legislation which makes it very difficult for us to be able to work, you said it, You must request coordination with the airports 20 days in advance and also with the Ministry of the Interior 10 days in advance, absurd, what happens if it rains on the day of the operation and you cannot fly? You have to do the coordination again and wait 10 or 20 days, another absurd example, to fly over a country house 18 km from the airport to carry out an inspection of the roof at a maximum of 20 meters above sea level, you have to make a plan. flight and coordinate with the airport, I honestly do not believe that the drone will collide at 20 meters with a commercial plane being so far from the airport but the town is within the CTR, if this is not absurd, what is?@@EUDronePort
On your site it takes 20 days to ask a request … if I want to go in Tenerife , I will probably want to fly in a natural area or near the coast. I go one week on place, I can’t prepare my flight 20 days before. I have to be on the area first. I m a Belgian drone pilote A2, I only fly in Open a1 with my DJI mini 4 pro C0. And on eurodroneport i have to pay 100€ or more to fly …. It’s more easy to fly in Belgium or in the Nordic countries. I hope it will change in Spain or just ban all drones and so it s clear. I agree with @llullchristian
:D
No that is wrong: first of all here in germany we have a local rule that also older drones under 900gr MTOM are allowed to use the lower restrictions in conjunction with the slowfly mode if available like mavic 1 or 2 air2s etc. And seconds as this rule only applies up to 5m flight height after that the 1:1 rule jumps in! So if you need to inspect or want to do a photogrammetry for measurments then for many buildings you need to fly at least 20 or 30m or for bigger areas 50-75m... that would mean you need to evacuate and block several buildings and streets, what is in almost any thinkable scenario impossible to get realized nevertheless it is impossible to get even permission... also the specific category does not help a lot cause you only get it for very low dense populated areas like under 250/km2 for bvlos what is with bigger buildings (4-5 floors or higher) nearly always the case... a c2 drone like any mavic 3 enterprise has a vlos of only 144m!!! And in most city areas the pilot has not enough space to even see the drone flying on the backside of a building. So the slowflymode is far away from being a gamechanger!!!
Thanks for your detailed reply Michael. We agree in almost all the aspects you mentioned. However, we believe that being able to fly a 4 kg drone, with low-speed mode, low altitude, will facilitate many operations that could previously fall under STS-01.
And registration and A1&A3 license are mandatory, right?
Yes, you can learn more here: training.eudroneport.com/courses/a1-a3/

Looks like a re-upload. I have already seen this video last week.
Thanks for your comment! Yes that's right. We re-uploaded the video, after making some changes in content.
If I have drone under 250g with camera (dji mini 3 pro) As I understood, all I need is an insurance and free registration, correct? Will that be valid for a whole EU territory?
Hi! Correct, it will be valid in all EASA Member States. You will also need an A1/A3 training, and to check if flight permits are required in each location you are willing to fly. Safe flights!
hey, this is incorrect? A2 training is required for both urban and rural environments, you filled me with hope for a second until I double checked
Hi! A2 training is for being able to fly in A2. A2 operations shall comply with the following conditions: be conducted in such a way that the unmanned aircraft does not overfly uninvolved persons and the UAS operations take place at a safe horizontal distance of at least 30 metres from them. The remote pilot may reduce the horizontal safety distance down to a minimum of 5 metres from uninvolved people when operating an unmanned aircraft with an active low speed mode function and after evaluation of the situation regarding: a) weather conditions b) performance of the unmanned aircraft c) segregation of the overflown area We hope this helps!
@@EUDronePort Hey, thanks for the reply! But to fly any sort of C2 aircraft over 900g, EG the Mavic 3 Pro, you need to do the A2 training right, to nbe able to legally fly it in the EU?
Drone under 250g with camera, need pass the exam ?
Hi @@Justicess1, although it is recommended to take the A1/A3 exam, it is not compulsory. However, you shall read the user's manual carefully.
@@TheGingleManNo, but you will be confined to category A3 airspace only.
A flying car with a camera is what? The real killer is cars. In the last week or two, cars, trucks, buses have crashed into houses here in Australia, yet they are going after small drones. CRAZY.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! We understand that drone regulations can sometimes feel frustrating, especially when other forms of transportation may pose higher safety risks. As a drone regulatory company, we recognize the importance of striking the right balance between innovation and safety. It's essential to remember that new technologies like drones require careful oversight to ensure the safety of both operators and the public. The regulations in place aim to mitigate potential risks and foster responsible drone usage.
@@EUDronePort please state your potential risk posed by a small 250g drone, in the last few weeks, 6 people have died in air craft accidents here in Australia, 2 when light planes collided, 4 when an army helicopter crashed. Please stop imaging big disasters.
Hi@@3goldfinger, we understand your frustration. Please note that we are not the regulator, but a company that bridges the gap between operators & regulation. We make regulations affordable for everyone 🙂
