great video one thing you forgot about the crumpled note also are you gonna do another playthrough if not thats ok
Crumpled Note says “another townsfolk” so since Fridgette had the note and I purchased the gear that cost 8 with her, it didn’t trigger. I hadn’t planned on it, but if enough people are interested, I’d be happy to! I’m really trying to grow the channel at this stage and the best way I can think to do that is by posting a variety of board game playthroughs. But if I get 500 subscribers that are all Townsfolk Tussle fans then I can become the Townsfolk Tussle channel. Haha.
Think you forgot The Doorknockers' "Hooligan" ability! (+1 Belief Token every time you hit a Breaking Point). Which meant Fridgette would've immediately been converted after the third turn, & been viable as a target for some of the Ruffian's attacks. Pretty sure they all would've been converted at the end as well, causing them all to take 2 DMG each. Also, didn't you have a Curse active that meant the Townsfolk only healed for 1 HP after each fight? Sorry for nitpicking, but I love the gameplay nonetheless!
Thank you for pointing that out! It looks like Fridgette would have converted around the 37:00 mark and Judy would have followed around the 39:00 mark and finally Granny Melba at 42:00 if I had remembered to play that correctly! Definitely would have changed the strategy a bit! And I had never ended a fight having taken more than one damage to any Townsfolk, so they only ever needed to heal one at most! It seems a lot of the new Ruffians have more indirect ways of dealing damage so if you can rush them down before their engines start running, it’s not too bad on your HP.

Good vid! One correction: For the tinkerer gear (cracked glasses and the car) The “end your turn place a counter on this” is a specific gear ability and not a passive effect, meaning you would have to activate it as a gear ability to trigger. Since you can’t end your turn twice in one turn, that means you wouldn’t get a counter on both tinkerer gear at the end of your turn. Keep up the great videos!

@@josetavares135 I can understand that. I’m starting to realize that if I keep playing this and taking up all my time (and table space) I won’t be able to play all the other games I have. So I’m going to put some more games in the rotation after this chapter. Townsfolk Tussle with the new expansions is up next!

I am waiting for delivery of Arydia: The Paths We Dare Tread and The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era in the next month. Tanares Adventures and Chronicles of Drunagor are huge games and take a lot of time to set up and play. Thank you again

Congrats on your Crimson Croc 2 kill! Always good to see more KDM content and you did a good job playing solo. Some rules mistakes if you care to read them, no biggie if you don't. KDM is very complex with 4 people let alone 1! 5:11 Alistar has -3 luck from Overwhelming darkness(meaning he needs a 13 on a d10 die roll to crit. So cant happen unless the monster gets -1 luck tokens or he gets rid of his - Luck tokens. Doesn't come up but just fyi) 18:05 If a monster ends its movement on a survivor, they collide, the survivor suffers collision and knockback 5. Keena has iron will so knock back 1 but Alistar should be further away from the monster 22:56 Alfonse suffers a light injury to the waist, then takes two more damage to the waist at 25:30 so this should be a severe injury table roll. Could be something that lowers Alfonse damage that I missed. 32:10 The Glossy Tongue has Parry so can ONLY be wounded on a crit. There's a 'living glossy' on KDM official website that tells you about it. I don't know why they didn't include the rules for parry on any of the gambler's chest stuff.... All in all still amazing job Solo P. My favorite part was that you ACTUALLY got the fighting art from the Phoenix Story event! I'm still trying to convince my group to go for those fighting arts, but they don't wanna risk it lol. My least favorite was of course murder....

Even if it’s not always a great idea, I really just want to interact with the new mechanics as much as possible for people to see how they work!

I didn’t see if you handled it or not, but when the darkness spawns on Willow she should take 2 dmg. When Jaheen moved back through the darkness he should have taken 2 dmg.

If only it could stay that way the whole campaign. :’) I do feel as a whole, the monsters in GCE are less deadly and easier to kill. We will see if I still feel that way once I get to the King and Gambler!
Just sometimes RUclips recommends something that turns to be excellent. Really glad to have found this playthrough and look forward to following your campaign. I've built the GC monsters but have been intimidated to start a Dream Keepers campaign.
Thank you for the really kind words! It’s definitely a lot of overhead as you’ll find out if you keep watching as I have to make corrections here and there from oversights. But it’s such a mechanically rich addition to KD:M and I’ve been having a blast with the new systems! I think the Dream Keeper campaign itself does a great job of introducing it all if you’re already familiar with base KD:M.

Just got my copy in last week and am super excited to get it to the table. I've read the rule book and have a quick question, (I know this series is months old but hopefully you can still clarify) at 5:25 Willow makes a ranged attack. I thought being adjacent to an enemy makes you "engaged in combat" and are no longer able to make ranged attacks? Once again thanks for this its been very helpful so far.
Great catch! You are correct that this ranged attack was made in error. I was focused on having moved the other enemy out of the way that I wasn’t even paying attention to the second one! Oops!

I played this encounter and i feel like i played it wrong. Doesn't the blue rune boss card not affect heroes adjecent to it since range atracks can't be done if you're adjecent to a character? Or does this rule not apply to the boss?
I think you might be right and I completely overlooked that making it harder on myself.

I love this battle with the undead king! Fun to see the big boss guy this early in in the game!
I was positive this would be a scripted death when I saw the health pool, but I was surprised when I started to put up a fight. It definitely makes the game feel huge and dangerous to go up against a boss like this early on!
I agree and this is so much more satisfying if you can use that big boss miniature not only in the final chapter like it is in many other games.
Awesome video. Such a good game, didnt get enough attention. The whole cube action system and the way range works with diff colors is great! Im currently Ch 9 and still pushing on.

I love this game!! So much fun!! I think I missed something, why were you rolling the trap dice twice for the treasure chest? Also, if large figures crush chest, then they still trigger the ‘trap’ so you roll the trap die and they get what ever you rolled. Then at the end darkness only spawns Orthogonally, so that diagonal piece that got shadow would not have spawned there. I am really enjoying these playthrough! Keep them coming!!
It’s really been a blast! I’d recently played the Darkest Dungeon board game and it seems like I was carrying that rule over. Haha. I at least feel better when I make a mistake that makes it harder on me instead of easier. And noted about the crushed traps and darkness! You’ve been a huge help and using this knowledge going forward is going to increase the quality of the playthrough so I really appreciate it and I’m glad you’re enjoying it!

They don’t cover it every written word but they do all of the door stuff and then the interactions it’s kind of cool It’s only for version 1.5
fun play through! 5 characters makes for an exciting game! 2 things, 1. at 14:02 when spawning darkness (or with any primary target) if there is a tie, then the tie-breaker would go to the one that is closer to the beginning of the initiative track, so in this case it still would have been Jaheen, but because of the initiative track. (to note, for the enemy targets, if the primary target says 'most...' tie breaker is the fastest on the initiative track. If it says "least..." then the tie breaker is the slowest on the initiative track.) 2. at 27:13 When the shadow knight attacked Jaheen, even though it is a strike 1 ability, because it is melee, he has to 'target' a small square that is directly adjacent, and then it will hit the whole area. So since Jaheen and no hero is directly adjacent to him, he would not be able to attack. When you reveal a final health token, the current phase ends, and you do not deal any over-damage to the revealed health... any damage left is lost (this would also be true in the case of an attack on the killer). You also use the white token and then regular hearts for the rest... in your case 2 red health tokens and the white final health token. Overall, a good playthrough. Enjoyed your added thematic commentary along the way.

Just in case you were not aware, when either you or the killer is down to just their final health token (either black or white), then you roll an extra die (for each of you that is down to the final health). This would be why you would want to place a white health token and 2 red hearts... once you were down to just the white token you would get an extra die.

At 10:50 You had a victim automatically escape. This does not happen without the Final Girl being in the space (the exception being at the Station 2891 location). You do actually have to move to the space and save the person. At 19:50 you forgot to count the lake space in your movement. Also, I didn't catch the first video, was the Minor Dark Power already gone? I noticed you didn't have hearts on it and did not take a heart from it during the fire, nor did you apply the extra movement for Hans. I usually discard those completely after the hearts have been removed.
I took those heart symbols on Unholy Speed to mean that he would heal when that was drawn… oops, thank you!
@@SoloParty It not only provides extra hearts, but also a special ability until the card is removed by getting rid of the extra hearts... in this case extra movement. Generally, health must be removed from the Minor Dark Powers first, but there is one in season 2 where it has to be the last heart prior to the final health token.
