Yup, you were being a total ass to the workers. I wouldn't have talked to you either. Most companies will have a policy in place on how to deal with media requests and who to talk to. If you came up to me with a camera, I'd refer you to the media contact of my company as well. Go through the proper channels for your requests and leave the workers alone. I grew up on Brook street. That bottom was always flowing with sewage. There used to be a house below the “poop lagoon “. It was condemned. City really can’t fix that problem. They tried 20 years ago but Mother Nature is too strong.

Shouldn't this be condemn environmental issue and the state Environmental Protection Agency be involved? Maybe not federal level but absolutely state level environmental department needs to be aware of this. Maybe get local news stations involved? If it's in a "black and brown" neighborhood, as much as I hate saying this, pull the race card on them as well. Make it known nationwide that the city is doing this in a non-white neighborhood. This is a serious environmental problem and should have been fixed within weeks, months at the latest.
