I really need to get back to journaling. This looks sooo much fun. I can just imagine how fun it would be physically writing out reviews for books and then filling them out with fun letterings, stickers and stuff. Okay I know what to ask for exchange gifts now. I need them colorful pens and highlighters (stabillo has those fun dark shade pastels).

The three Silvia Moreno Garica books on tour TBR are the first ones I read from her and solidified her as a favorite author. I hope you get to them in 2025!

I never even considered a reading journal before and my mind is blown at the details and creativity. Very beautiful, yours looks exciting to use! Also this type of video is perfect to fall asleep to, seeing how I just woke up from an unintentional 2 hour nap

Love your title page!! It reminds me to try doing a studio ghibli marathon next year got inspired by your anticipated reads and physical tbr spreads the most. I mainly track stuff on notion but I haven’t created pages for those two specific things yet and I think I need to in order to be able to access that info faster and keep them in my radar. I am also working on a page to help me plan what I’m going to borrow in my library by month as I always go with a strategy in mind 😁

I didn't love Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, but I'm kinda intrigued by Strange the Dreamer. Excited to see what's in store for your channel next year! Especially looking forward to the writing sprints!

Black sun was excellent. I read the whole series this year and while book 1 was the best I'm very happy I read the series. I hope you have a great time with it too!

An Ember in the Ashes + Strange the Dreamer is also on my series TBR for next year! I haven’t read Erin Morgenstern yet but I can vouch for Laini Taylor’s writing style, I enjoyed her Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy. I think I previously mentioned that I wanted to work on a book blog, and that’s actually a decision I made bc I felt that my bookstagram is not the best platform for me anymore! I am itching to do more longform content 🙈 hope we are able to fulfill our goals!

Some of my favorite essay collections I’ve read this year are Grieving by Cristina Rivera Garza, Our Women on the Ground edited by Zara Hankir, and How Far the Light Reaches by Sabrina Imbler💚 Hope the changes you plan on making work out for the better🌻

I need to check if my library has a copy of Role Playing because I had it on my tbr for months and now I really want to read it 🤔 In terms of numbers, my November was fine, 9 books. A lot of 3-3,5 stars though and for the second half of the month I didn't feel like picking up any book 😐 I'm out of it now so excited for December ❤🦃

That travel size notebook is pretty and it's nice to know it's vegan leather. Very cool! I just finished a life show this morning and I was so tired from the night before (visiting family), but I got through it. Can't wait for next year's TBR. It's going to be stacked.

this week, I’ve been reading 2 books at the same time very slowly and I made progress in my writing project! I stopped borrowing novels so that I could catch up with my current reads but still wanted to visit my library (I visit mine once a month usually) so I got a few manga volumes + dvds! for 2025, I think my main bookish goals are to work on making a book blog and continue going through my physical tbr

Bummer about info dumping in Blood Over Bright Haven. When that happens I get taken out of the magic of the book. That's what happened when I read Womb City.

I'm holding off on making my self destruct TBR until the end of the year, so I can see what I can get through before 2025 haha, but I do know Kingsbane by Claire Legrand will be on the list. I read Furyborn years ago and enjoyed it and so much time has passed now that I'm not sure I'm still interested in continuing the series, so if I don't get to it in 2025, it's gotta go

I loved The Space Between Worlds! I'm a sucker for an alternate reality story. Also surprisingly I've read different Isabella Hammad and Hao Jingfang books this year and I really enjoyed both of them (Enter Ghost and Jumpnauts). Would be interested to know what their other books are like 🚀

This is a great list! Be wary of Ken Liu translations because he changes the prose style and sentences according to his personal writing style. I was really disappointed with his translation of The Three Body Problem.

Piranesi and Natural Beauty are high on my tbr-I just need to stop getting distracted by all the other books 😂 Addie LaRue is one of my faves, I hope you end up liking it 🥹

I loved Piranesi and Addie la Rue (not for the romance though), both were 4,5⭐ for me. In Piranesi I loved the narrator's voice and his genuine curiosity and love for the world that surrounded him but I can see how it could get tiring for some readers. Still highly recommend both 🌠
