A couple notes: 4:50: Most of the FT conversions, including mm2ft, do not support any enhanced audio chips as those are much less compatible (especially on hardware). In case anyone doesn't know: 2A03 is the NES' processor. If the song is for anything more than that (e.g. MMC5, VRC6), it won't work. 5:06: The size limits should be in the readme.txt for the conversion (e.g. mm2ft), as they're game-specific. usage.html is the user manual for makeftrom and covers how to use it in general, but each specific conversion has its own capabilities and limits. 5:55: The tracks/bhop folder is a red herring. bhop is the name of the FamiTracker engine mm2ft et al use, and the folder is just an artifact of how I arranged the files on my computer. Some of the FTMs I downloaded used features bhop didn't support, so I made modifications to them to work around those features and put them in the bhop folder to indicate they're a bhop-specific version. There's nothing special about having a folder called bhop. 7:40: Different games use different channels for their SFX and music. Capcom games put their most important melody on square 1, and SFX preferentially use square 2. Tracks that have the most important part on square 2 should use swap_square_chans to prevent the melody from cutting out every time a sound effect plays. There's a section on this in usage.html. 8:30: Yes, you can use songs from the OG game as well, e.g. HeatMan and refight mappings in the demo. Though it's possible to give one of your imported songs the same name as a built-in song, in which case you won't be able to reference the original one. 9:20: Unix-style: "no news is good news". 10:10: Not stated but kind of implied: you CANNOT run makeftrom on a ROM that it has already run on. E.g. if you run it on a.nes to produce b.nes, you cannot run it again on b.nes, you have to use a.nes again. ALWAYS save a copy of the pre-makeftrom version of your hack before running it. Lastly: the process is the same for mm1ft as well. All the other FT conversions are basically the same for importing FTMs, though there are some differences for native (e.g. C2) files.

I hate that the creators can't even put in a gamepad option in their game. Especially in a mega man game where it was meant to be played on a controller and not a keyboard. I hate having to create my own joytokey gamepad version! But other than that, this is a pretty solid megaman fan game! 👍
