I purchase about 50% of my cards in bulk from online consigners. I buy a mix of cards that I don’t see as often, cards I have a history of grading and selling well, and then cards that I personally like and wouldn’t mind adding to my collection.

I don’t tell anybody what to grade. I am just showing what I graded and have no problem with anyone sending any card they want to have graded into PSA. Nobody cares if you have to wait longer for your cards. If someone is willing to pay the grading fee they should be allowed to do what they want. GROW UP!!!

She definitely is. Her stuff sells like crazy. It also helps there are few women’s cards people can buy. A lot of demand and little supply.

There are certain cards that do sell well if you can grade them a 10. A lot of the raw cards I sell I expect to take a couple dollar loss on because I didn’t grade them.

Algorithms. And trust me they are real. I’ve been selling low end cards since 2019 on eBay. Too rated seller.

I think selling items and willingness to accept offer helps. Being a top rated seller is also key. eBay is a business as well because of the fees they charge so they want people to see listings from sellers that will actually sell a card and provide a positive experience so that person buys off eBay again.

Algorithms are for sure a part of it. The more I’ve sold and higher my rating it seems my listings will get more views and watchers.

These were all BIN sales. Typically I don’t like to auction cards but low end singles or an extremely hot players are the only times it would make sense to me.

Yeah usually consignment is the best way to pick them up in my opinion.

They sell a lot of cards via consignment on eBay. So essentially people ship their cards for someone else to sell on their eBay store that typically get a lot of viewers.

Oh I'm sure that he would kill me. For the cards that he is into and the business model he runs auctions are definitely the way to go. I don't do cards for a living and like to collect baseball for the most part which doesn't tend to sell as well.

Completely Agree! Every once in a while I think that all of my cards will sell well at auction which is not true. This is the exact reason I purchase 99% of my cards at auction because I can typically get them for cheaper. Auctions only are good for the few hot players currently in the market.

Most of what I look for in a listing are the corners and centering of a card. Sometimes you can see surface based on the quality of the image. I am more likely to buy a card with a better image because I feel like the seller isn’t hiding anything. Also, after buying enough cards you can figure out which sets or inserts are likely to have problems and which will grade well. I stick with what works and throw out what doesn’t work.

I consider the box itself as the money being lost. I do not expect to get cards worth money from ripping. Similar to buying a card for my PC that I don't plan on selling.
