Enterprise V1 Tank Engine

A very nice V1 2-6-2 Tank Engine in 5"g which I have re-built. The engine is easy to drive as it does not have a long Tender to reach over and with 3 cylinders and the 2-6-2 wheel arrangement has good traction and power.

Hi, I'm try to set the eccentrics on my pansy, I can get it to run in full forward gear when the eccentrics are not where they're supposed to be but that's it, it won't notch and won't go in to reverse, when I set them where they're meant to be it won't do anything, any ideas on what's going on, I've modified the valve gear to ME articles written about it, Cheers, Tom
Hello, Was this the only V3 in Apple Green?
I believe so.
how to resource stickers and labels
eggscllent sir. like .
Did you have any issues with the valves not seating?
No - I only ran it on air on a Rolling Road so it was never given a load to pull.
Replaced the piston valves because those of the MODELWORKS INTL were of poor manufacture?
What’s this model go for used? I’m looking at one but not sure what to offering. They’re asking $500
Kv? Rs?
Amazing work again. I particularly like this one.
Amazing. Such a work of engineering art. If I had built that I would stand and look at it ticking over for hours. How satisfying that must have been when you completed it. Such an acheivment. Well Done.
What an absolutely amazing achievement Ian....a real family affair, and a demonstration, if any were needed, of what an extraordinary person you are...Very best wishes to you both...Bob
Thank you for your kindness, Bob. You're a Gent!
What an amazing production Ian, it was an emotional watch, nearly bringing me to tears. You are such a talented man, excelling in all that you do. Best wishes to you and Joanie...Bob
Thank you so much for your kind words, Bob. Joan and I are hoping to see you all sometime next year. In the meantime our best wishes to you and Keep Safe!
Waiting to see it in action and someone just switches on off a few times, a case of where a video was a complete waste of the watchers time.

Very odd post, waiting for something to happen but just on off on off!!!!
Fantastic workmanship - well done!

Hi! What gasket did you use under the cylinder block?
Hello John I used 3mm Blown PTFE Gasket. It's excellent but expensive!! See www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-e&q=Blown+PTFE+Gasket or do a Google search for Blown PTFE Gasket Regards, Ian

That is beautiful, you must/should be very proud indeed.

Hello there, I have the same generator and was wondering if it has pulse/ surge protection? I got it to put on my caravan but have been told it could damage the caravan electrics
Hlo sir, is it available in odisha
Very very very good By from Italy
Very nice engine. I would be interested in how the cylinder drains work.
That's a wonderful little generator Ian, I'm sure you'll sell it without any problems....If I was still camping, I'd have bought it from you...Hope you and Joanie are well....Have a great 2010...Best wishes...Bob
Happy New Year and Thanks for your kind words, Bob!
Congratulations Ian, on achieving such a magnificent finish on this loco, which is a perfect choice for you. Your skills are outstanding as can clearly be seen....Best wishes to you and Joan....Bob
My 4.5 " has been building since about the late 80s and I've still got the tender to make and the boiler needs checking out and testing.
That is incredible you have an incredible talent, can ya build me one lol
Parabéns, a replica ficou perfeita, 🚜🚜🚜🚕🚕🚕👋👋👏👏
A beautiful model. I was a long-time admirer of the model of 70000 "Britannia" that stood in the Reception at the Head Office of Britannia Building Society. I can't remember who the engineer that built it was, but it was a thing of beauty. It was definitely built to a smaller scale than yours.
How much do these engines go for
Nice work sir.
I am building one in 5"g. Tender finished and a rolling chassis. Doing cylinders atm. How did you do the casing?
Hi Ian, You do beautiful work. I have started working on a partially completed Live Steam Models ltd simple Agricultural engine. It came with a Bell Boiler, and is up on its wheels. Much of the grunt work is done. I figure a couple of years to go depending on the availability of parts and castings. I am on the east coast of the USA. Regards, Kap
Hello Kap, Thank you for your very kind comments. My first Traction Engine was a 4 1/2" scale Plastow Burrell. Started in about 1970 it was not finished until 2006! I didn't rush it! 8-) Keep going and you'll get there! Ian
Hi Ian, Your 4 1/2" Plastow Burrell is beautiful too. I have a 3" Plastow I purchased from Station Road Steam last year. I have built a couple other traction engines and locomotives over the years. I may have a few technical questions to ask at some time. Regards, Kap
What is not to like about this work of art. Amazing 👍🏼
That's a beautiful locomotive you have made. Wish I could make one but don't have the skills or money unfortunately! Well done. What coal are you using?
Absolutely fantastic can I have it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Someone was enjoying themselves a little too much me thinks!...Nice work Ian...Best wishes to you and Joan...Bob
Another stunning production Ian, which clearly shows the hard work and dedication both you and Joan apply to everything you do. You've used several techniques to capture these beautiful images, and I must congratulate you on what you've achieved....Very Best Wishes to you both, and I hope you have a very Good Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2019....Bob
An incredible achievement Ian, and a testament to the skills that you have applied to the building of this exceptional machine. A very professional production, that I'm so proud to have contributed such a small part....Very Best wishes to you and Joan, and I wish you both a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year....Bob
Will Bobby be put up for sale since he's no longer used?
