Stepping Stones - Historic Home of Bill & Lois W
США
Добавлен 13 май 2022
Stepping Stones' channel features the inspiring home, archive and legacy of Bill Wilson (William Griffith Wilson or Bill W.), cofounder of Alcoholics Anonymous, and Lois Burnham Wilson (Lois W.), cofounder of Al-Anon Family Groups. The Wilsons moved into the home they named "Stepping Stones" in 1941. The work they did there helped 12-Step recovery to blossom worldwide. Stepping Stones is where Bill wrote books including "12 Steps & 12 Traditions," "A.A. Comes of Age," and "As Bill Sees It" in his studio (Wit's End) and where Lois cofounded Al-Anon Family Groups and created a 12-Step memorabilia gallery. The National Historic Landmark on 8 acres features the home, 10,000 objects, and 10,000 manuscripts. The Stepping Stones Foundation (a tax-exempt nonprofit) welcomes financial support for the site's preservation, maintenance, and programs (tours, virtual events, archive, etc.). For information, mail list, events, volunteering, or to donate, see www.steppingstones.org
