And, sadly, Danny left us back in 2019. I used to see him at The Dubliner and a bar called Ireland's Four Provinces in Washington D.C. back in the early 1980s. Those were the days before you could search for song lyrics online, and he was kind enough to send me words to some of his songs via snail mail. I last saw him at the 2010 Milwaukee Irish Fest. What a talent, and a sweet guy.

Sad he's gone. I appreciated knowing him and his family.

Muhammad ali is my hero and as you probably know he had that terrible disease aswell. Can't believe that the doc's don't have a cure for it by now,hopefully they'll have a cure sooner rather than later

I've read Danny's given up singing. Damned shame, if so. The wife and I used to go to see him regularly at Kevin Barry's in Savannah.

I have don't watch xfactor so can't compare. I enjoy live acts and go to many venues and watch bands and solo artists and have seen much better in the venues I have gone to recently. I am also talking about young kids who write their own material. I have an opinion as you do and I don't get this at all.

Think you're missing the point, Bernifranc. It's not a competition a la Xfactor. She's singing and playing a song she's written herself. Very well too, I should say. You 'think' wrong regarding your 'tuning' issues-probably a result of watching too many 'talent' shows. Kudos to a talented kid.

I think there are way better singers out there and in fact I think that the guitar is out of tune with the voice!... I don't understand whey shay chose this as his opening act?
