So it's not as if they couldn't write a song before. It is by far the most sophisticated song off their third album, which leads me to believe that it never had to do with songs not being good enough. They were probably TOO good. Just industry politics.

Agree - I too like it when Saiki and Miku sing together. And yes, it was the same note, but an octave apart. Adds a cool effect. Band-Maid is indeed addictive. Fortunately, nobody in their right mind would want to kick the addiction.

Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well, look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy, yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), against Kanami's up-tempo, complex, yet rockin' music, is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles, imxo! Thx, Fank!

One thing about BandMaid...with most music, my fingers tap to the drums. With BandMaid, I find my tapping moving throughout the song between all of them.

"Correct" or not, this first self-written song has all the characteristics of most Band Maid songs: catchy chorus, great vocal harmonies, sections for audience participation (regardless of language), interesting and prominent drum and bass patterns, different second verse, killer guitar solo, hopeful bridge. These characteristics are hallmarks of songs as different as Moratorium and About Us, Bubble and I'll, Unfair Game and Smile. All I can say is "Gimme more!"

Best Band In The World! They are exactly like The Beatles, except their younger, and from a different island, and they're girls, and there are 5 pf them. Saiki is like Psyche, (Sigh-Key).

I think this song set the tone for how Band-Maid’s first songs sound on the Just Bring It CD which primarily has Band-Maid composed and arranged songs. Those songs have a similar vibe.

I’ve noticed that sometimes M&M make small mistakes when playing but to me that’s irrelevant because it shows that they’re actually playing and not doing playback. At that speed I’m really amazed they don’t make more mistakes. It’s not unusual that musicians and singers make small mistakes when they’re actually performing live.

Yes, Midori "missed" a note in the tapping process. Or more exactly the string did'nt respond correctly when she pressed down the finger on the string. I forgot to mention...they sometimes use fire and sometimes smoke, depending on the song, venue, budget.

I did not intend this comment to be a criticism of Midori in any way. It was an honest question of mine, and sadly, it came out the wrong way. I'm crazy impressed with Midori and any other guitarists who can play at this level, and I'm surprised you don't hear more of these "errors". And I'm glad they let it be in there because I'm 100% sure the band heard it. But instead of overdubbing it, they let it stay in and showed that mistakes might happen and that it's not necessary to hide them. That they let minor imperfections stand without hiding them makes me love them even more. The comment was meant as some sort of a joke about if this is the ONLY thing I can criticise about this performance, it shows how great the song and perfomance is. I understand now that it was a bad joke, and I can excuse myself with being ill and whatnot, but I did it and I am sorry if this was a joke in poor taste. *** At about 5:44 out in the video, did Midori make a small mistake in the solo? Seems like she might have missed one of the taps. What do you think? Not that I'm complaining, and to me it seems very hard to do it, so I'm impressed no matter what.

Oh btw, The crowd had a ladies only section where Saiki went surfing, and she either got her old pair back or spares during Kanami's spectacular solo.

The story of this video is rather odd. The first time I saw it it was combined with the previous song from the concert, "Freedom". In this concert Saiki went crowd surfing near the end of Freedom and got lost for a moment. Two of the crewmen had to rescue her. No harm done, but Miku had to sing the last two lines and Saiki lost her shoes. She was in her stocking feet when Real Existence started. MISA came over to tease her about being barefoot. She plays that way all the time.
