Did you sprits your hair a little before?

Do you use conditioner? If not you should since you colored your hair. My daughter colored her hair and wasn’t moisturizing by misting, sealing with the oil of her choice or conditioning after shampooing. She started loosing locs.

Happy to find now that I was so right! 😄 At the time I subscribed there were not many 200ish loc heads on YT. There are quite a few more now, so it's very encouraging.

I think that damaged things should be repaired, if possible. Before cutting your locs, yourself, you should seek professional advice to determine the best recourse for your locs. I am a #newsubscriber who is also documenting my journey on RUclips and I will continue to follow you on this journey.

Personally I would just cut them off because I cant stand straggly or dead or thin ends but you could just do small trims until they are gone and you will love the healthy hair even more.

I think all you need to do is give your current set of locs time. Since the problem is not with your grid, but with the damaged portion, the problem is easily solved by regular trimming every year. In 4 years the color damage with be almost completely gone if you trim off 1-2 inches every year.

I think if your happy with the size & the grids you have now, that it’s just the frail ends bothering you cut your locs shorter to where hair is healthy & strong.If you don’t like the size & grid etc etc then you have no choice but to start again, comb them out or otherwise. Your hair looks great don’t get so down about it. 😊🇬🇧

Your hair and colour is gorgeous! How many did you start with & how many have you got now? I have 185 diy locs and self maintaining I’m 16 months in and the length is coming it’s great. The journey is not easy & it’s my 3rd set, 1st ones lasted 3 days lady started them and they were huge & she used product that itched my head, I started 2nd set which I palm rolled with help from sister & mom but I wanted more fullness. These ones I interlock 2 or rotation & they are great, I just dyed the ends dark brown as they were looking orange from the dye I had previous to loccing.
