Although my thoughts are that the gene seed is chimeric in nature likely mixed with world eaters gene seed. Their use of ship harpoons which was a tactic used by the world eaters also leans in to this. Coupled with their uncanny levels of stoic violence suggest the world eaters connection but I think the night lords are too over stated for the pale skin aspect when this is also a gene defect of the raven guard. The night lords are much too flashy to be the progenitor of the space sharks gene seed in my opinion

But obviously, even if our special forces were Ultramarines these guys was going to be dialled up to 9 with an added edge to even our special forces what we could possibly imagine. Now it’s the distinctive power blades and the unique helmet that their normal equipment would’ve been the equipment they would’ve had would’ve made the lion drool 🤤 with envy not much and not trusted like him but when they went on operations like our own special forces, they would get what they wanted . But they would prevail but this legion would’ve lost the only Primark they were supposed to return to terra . But they would enter the warp and never be seen again. This is why they wanted it removed from their memories by the Emperor because this particular Primark was one of the beloved strong silent type. This almost happened but then it was shelved the story was not even past its initial draft. Just details. I was just the basics and then politics in the company. But there was enough material to imagine what may have happened to this legion without the guide of their father what it would’ve been so cool would’ve been the fact that they would’ve been an unstoppable force and maybe even immune to psychic attack who knows. What this strangely sounds like the story I was told about this particular Legion . So dangerous that they were kept in reserve and their loss rate meant that only human populations on extreme death worlds could stun any chance of the selection process and fitted out in the air by the Emperor personally. And also it would’ve been just after the Emperor had returned and left them when this happened and would a further given an edge to the fact that the strongest of the strong could not cope with some species of Xenos who knows even the Emperor might’ve been involved. I know I’m just still nobody with the story believe me don’t believe me. It’s entirely up to you, but it’s the truth. I’ll definitely know this guy work for the company . So I asked him why he thought he said they were just too overpowered ! And for them to hide in the warp during the heresy that was one idea that the entire Legion just disappeared that wouldn’t have worked.
