How I Created My Logo
Просмотров 2021 день назад
This short video explains the steps I took to create my logo. It started on a winter day when I was stuck indoors and looking for something to shoot with my camera. One shot from that afternoon was later chosen as the starting point when I became aware I needed a logo for my fine art photography website.

@@fernandoochoa5614 Thanks. Did you repair your Subaru?
Yes I did fix my Japanese car at hologic danbury
Helpful video Jon. In my neck of the woods, I never heard the term "marker" lights. Maybe we're just too (very) old school because they weren't used on cars until 1968. We just called those "parking" lights, or maybe "side", "running" or "tail" lights, which I know aren't exactly the same thing. Maybe people with motor homes or trailers called them "marker" lights.
I had to replace them to pass the Motor Vehicles inspection.
It was easy to replace the marker bulbs. I found other videos telling how to do this on older and new Foresters and it was not as easy.
Watch and clock makers use pegwood for lots of cleaning, can sharpen to a fine point and clean old oil out of the tiny pivot holes in wrist watches for example. Its expensive from a watch supply, but if you get wooden cuticle sticks from a beauty supply th3y are much cheaper and are the same wood (softer than toothpick)
Thanks for the tip!
I would drop the crappy noisy music, it adds nothing but annoyance.
Thanks for the advice. I subscribed to your channel.

I bought a 2002 Dodge Dakota SLT 4.7 L in the exact same color, except it's two tone. The bottom half below the molding is silver along with the front and rear bumper and trim around the fenders. Also, I have bucket seats in the front with a solid center console that opens on the side. I don't have the option to fold it up for a 3rd person to sit upfront. It was bought from a relative with 150K miles for $1,100.

The best to visit a local orchard. If you cannot do that, look at the apples in the produce department and avoid and late season apples such as red delicious. They can be stored in controlled atmosphere coolers for a year. Look at the bag and avoid ones with the notice "May be coated with food grade wax or shellac"
I have been a lifelong fan of Johnny Winter. Could you give me the approximate location of his final resting place at the cemetary. It would be an honor to visit him and pay my respects
Glad you want to visit. It is a nice cemetery. Many farms are located in Easton. Here are some directions. From the Merritt Parkway also called Hwy 15 take the exit for hwy 59. Also called Sport Hill Road. Go north 4 miles. If you go south it all houses. Going north you pass Sherwood Farm, Helen Keller Middle School, Silvermans Farm, Sport Hill Farm and then you come to a stop sign and a fork in the road. Hwy 59 is the right fork and Sport Hill Road is the left fork. The Union Cemetery is in the middle of the fork. To visit JWs's grave take the left fork and drive only about 10 yards or so. There is a gravel parking area. Walk about 10 yards to a paved path going up a slight incline. On the right you will Johnny's grave.
Johnny was paid 600.000 $ in 1969 by Columbia to join their label and here'a a fun fact about his debut album Bill Josey, who owned Sonobeat Records, had recorded a live show at the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin so Johnny would have a demo to shop for a major label. However, Josey released that performance as Progressive Blues Experiment on his own label. But before the ink had dried on Johnny’s Columbia contract, Josey sold the LP to United Artists. This album is still one of Johnny’s best-selling and most highly acclaimed releases, but the artist never saw a penny. 'Bill Josey had the tapes and he got the money,' Johnny says. 'Even now when they sell that CD, I don’t get any money.'”
I read about this in the book about Johnny. So many musicians were cheated out of their money.
I feel truly blessed to have seen him 2 times. I will never forget how much my mind was blown away. RIP JDW
yes, you were fortunate to be there at a performance.
I have never seen these things in my life until this summer. I thought they were alien spies because their eyes glow 😅
Yes they are strange looking.
The BIGGEST fact about them is that they pee, yes, "pee", from the trees all during August, and it is a liquid partly water and partly sugar (from the tree sap). This covers cars in dots of their "excrement" that park under (or nearly under) trees in the month of August (at least in Connecticut)! Thankfully, merely spraying a hose in a powerful stream over the car can dissolve it. Now it's a quandary whether to park in the shade, or park in the sun to escape the pee!!!!!
That credit card trick is great
I have used it to clean other things, too.
Had the pleasure of seeing Dave Brubeck at the Liverpool Philharmonic some years back:~ Last minute tickets and just made the concert in time, the players had a late start however due to travelling from Manchester I believe- think two of his sons also played at this venue with him: A good concert.

Just got one myself. Same one. They dont build things of this quality anymore. No gas, no electricity. Grass gets too tall, scythe time. I enjoy doing both

It's a good thing that the leak was not from the tub's seal.
Good for you by fixing that and keeping it going. I had to buy a new GE washer and dryer back in May, 2024. Have been so disappointed with the quality at least of the washer. The first week the electronics failed, leaving the lid locked, with our wet clothes in it. 3 days for a tech to come, then he had to order parts, said all of the electronic boards needed replaced. Week later, installed the new boards.and washer worked for two weeks. Same thing happened, washer dead, wet clothes locked inside. Tech came out and said there was a loose connection in the wiring harness and the harness is backordered. Finally got my original company to agree to replace the whole washer. Except, they don't have any yet, but they did bring me a loaner - a plain analog washer. No bells and whistles - but it works. Stuff is not built to last anymore! It's a great feeling to fix something yourself and save a lot of money.
Wow that sounds like a nightmare. This is an argument for vintage analog simple American appliances
If you are going to repair an appliance be sure to unplug the power before you begin.
Great stuff! Thanks

I seen a 4 door version of those down in Florence, South Carolina, sitting on top of a shipping container, in a scrap yard. It looks to be restorable. My first car was a '78 Ford Fairmont 2 door coupe with a 2300 4 cylinder, and a 4 speed transmission.
@@mikeadams2677 your Ford Fairmont put the 4 speed to use in maximizing the power of the 4 cylinder.
@@variousvisfineart lol. Yes that was the same 4 cylinder that Ford used in the Pinto. That engine needed all the help it could get to move that heavier Fairmont, for sure. 😆
@@variousvisfineart My dad told me his first car was a '59 Buick Invicta 4 door, and my mother's father told me his first car was a Model B Ford, and that he could get it in any color he wanted as long as it was black. 😆
