But it was later discovered that there could be as many as 20 such rings in the ice cores per YEAR. But back to this tree: And neither can C-14 dating be used as it is still a living tree. To my knowledge, dendrochronology (tree-ring dating) is currently our best method for dating trees. However, in science, everything is only valid until a better method is discovered. So, who knows? Maybe a more accurate system will be developed in the future.

    Literally no one, including regular people, like them at all. I literally cannot find a place to sit anymore and eh I get food I have to walk 30mins to the closest park because they decide get ride of all the benches. It's encouraging people to go out less and the people who they were "trying to hide" stick out more, because there is less of the general public

    • @yasY0L0

      @@noahhoush15 do you think people want live on the streets? So you think people don't want to sit down somewhere and eat? "oh but-but there homeless shelter and-and" Girlie pop tf? Most homeless DO NOT allow the homeless people staying there to work. So it's work or shelter. A full time job with minimum wage is 20k-25k a year. Before tax. And your telling me you can rent an apartment already costing you 1k-3k a month, which is 12k-36k of a salary a year, food, utilities, water, gas, electric, furniture, utensils, clothes and funding an education to get a better job? Homeless shelter secretly don't allow homeless people to work because the more homeless people that work the less people come to their shelter meaning the quick they go out of business. It's cruel but not uncommon. 1 out of the 25 homelessness shelters I've ever been to, had the facility to hold people AND allow the to work. You can't get a job without an address. So them allowing for the ability for there adress to be used is HUGE And in my area, 5% of homeless shelters offer for them to redo a qualification or gain online work experience. Do you know what 5% is? ONE FREAKING SHELTER. ONE SHELTER OFFERS PEOPLE THE ABILITY TO GET OFF THE STREETS. In the last year alone 300 from there have gone on to get jobs. Doesn't sound like alot but our city has 24,400 homeless people. You do the math and look at that, with 50 shelter offering 3-5 computer worth of work experience you get 15,000 people off the streets instead of taking up benches It takes them 5 years to remove all benches and places to sit and probably 2 years to replace them costing millions of tax payers money. But it could take a homeless 3-4 years to reduce the number of homeless people by 70-80% You are literally part of the problem. No one WANTS to be homeless but without an address, or being able to fill out an online application most people don't have a choice.

      @yasY0L0 Месяц назад

      @@noahhoush15 dude. it. Get this. DOES NOT keep people off the streets. Hostile architecture= $31,000 on average, per person a year Homelessness= $8 on average, per person a year And sorry to break it to you it cost more to, remove pre-existing architecture to then put a new architecture, then it would be to fund a 3-year programme getting over 15000 people out of homelessness. So to put it bluntly, YES your tax payer money will be indefinitely wasted on this. BUT if they would have solved the problem already you would have had to stop paying extra taxes for this. Would you rather pay $100 over 3 years and then only have to pay $30 after or pay $100 for the rest of you life? On average $31,000 goes into hostile architectural products alone from a single person. Meaning that on average, $10 billion gets put into the reconstruction of long-standing buildings and facilities to that homeless people can't sleep that. AND IT'S RISING. AND THIS IS YEARLY. THAT'S THERE FUNDS do you know how much the fund is for homeless people? 3 BILLION. Making that YEARLY, $9. But if they invested the hostile architecture funding to the homeless fund do you know how many homeless people you'd see on the street? Less then 653,104. Investing that money could get 261,242 people off the streets in 1-3 years. Then you won't "have a chance of seeing them" BECAUSE THERE WON'T BE ANY If they invest that fund into actually reducing the number there "won't be any drug addicts" to give your money to.

      @@Jvcksvcks Let me tell you a story. My town is relatively small, but there are a few homeless people. A couple of these people always stand on the same corner; usually a man with a sign, but sometimes a woman. One day, my father pulls over and offers to give the man a ride to wherever and help him get a job. The man just tells my father "I don't need a job; I make more standing here than I would anywhere else". The woman was his wife; they take turns standing on that busy corner, panhandling day in and day out. They refuse to get jobs, and instead prey on the generosity of the average person. Ever since then we've never given a dime to the bums littering the streets. And it's not just the homeless taking advantage of our citizens; reletively well-off people will still take whatever they can under the guise of being "less-fortunate" Another story. My mother helps runs a local food pantry, getting donations from local stores and sometimes buying food to stock the pantry shelves. I've helped her many times with packing boxes and sorting food; many people do get the help they need to get by from this small pantry. But a few are there just for free groceries. I recall an occasion where, after closing up and heading home, we saw one of the families we had just given a load of food. They were getting out of a decently nice car (nicer than what my mother drove at the time) and herding their children into a local McDonalds. Some people will take advantage of anyone, even at the expense of others who truly need help.
