Carrie is a unique artist, in the fact, if something happen to her band, Carrie could still come out perform/ Her band was formed when Arista realized Carrie was going to win. As Carrie put it, she and her band had to learn on the fly. As Mark Childers said he had to teach Carrie on the fly. As Soon as Carrie's debut album hi the streets, they were doing it in concerts. And nobody knew Carrie knew about performing in concerts.

Carrie's sisters are just as shocked that Carrie is actually this good. You can tell that by their reaction when Carrie was competing on Idol. Her sisters were in the audience when Carrie was in the top 12 until the end. Carrie's mom was there next her sisters, Idol wants family members there once you hit the top 12 group. Her sisters were in a segment cheering on Carrie. As Carrie she went for being annoyance and being entertainment but as a sideshow to her sisters say holy cow. I read an earlier comment from a while back that asked why Halestorm "let some country guy" perform on this track & I had to put my 2 cents in. First of all, Eric Church is not just "some country guy". He's a bonafide superstar & a multiple-time entertainer of the year. And he's a rebel who doesn't believe in the constraints of sticking to a particular genre. Many refer to his niche as "country-rock" but even that is too limiting a description for what he does. He just does Eric Church music & it's awesome. I particularly love Lzzy's collabs with Church because she's my favorite female artist, Halestorm is my favorite band & Church is my favorite male artist. I'd love for them to work together again.

Straight knows how he’s gonna sing his song and I’m sure he told Church ahead of time to make the change. IDK seems disrespectful to me to be invited by Straight to sing, but he chose to wear dark glasses b/c he’s probably too messed up to be there and then he blows the words to the song to boot. I've lived in Eric Church's hometown of Hickory since 1988. I am 78 now and became a country music fan because of artists like Eric Church who puts so much soul into everything he sings. Been a fan of Halestorm for a while now too. I've listened to this duet more times than I can count. I feel like I was there. I agree with cliff4695.....this is still the best damn performance ever on the CMA stage.
