seriously... lol first trigger break and you hear a damn cell phone or something go off.

when i installed the AEK trigger on mine, i did not have to modify the trigger loop. and by modify, all they mean is you bend it a little bit. if you check out Apex's RUclips channel they have good videos on what all is required for the install. they mention that most guns do not need modification of the trigger loop.

The new FSS kit from Apex Tactical for the M&P has the new ploymer AEK trigger that sits right at the border of where the grip texture starts underneath the trigger guard producing a shortest trigger travel yet. Also the FSS kits (old and new) will include a new green painted trigger return spring that will be around 5.5 - 6 pound trigger pull to make it carry friendly thus being both competition and duty carry with the simple switch of the return spring. If you want I'll send a video of it.

the trigger bar is the factory trigger bar, with the reduced over-travel and take-up with the new aluminum trigger, some adjustment may be needed.

oh ok I thought the specs on the Apex trigger wasn't exactly the same as the stock trigger. have you had any issues with the function of the gun after installing the trigger?

well it's not an Apex issue, it's the design of the trigger bar, namely the trigger loop (candy cane), which varies from gun to gun.

I don't know why they couldn't make a replacement trigger that you didn't have to modify anything. I just bought a m&p 9mm and i can't stand the trigger but don't know if i want to modify anything.

i had to make some adjustments to the trigger loop (candy cane) on the trigger bar.

a 10 pull average resulted in 4;5#

yep, works well.

it doesnt work with a thumb safety. no need for the RAM, if you adjust the trigger bar. the trigger loop adjustment is needed to properly trip the sear.

why not installing the ram to get the reset as it should be without fiddling with the bar and bar loop?

I carry the M&P that is in the video. I'm using the DCAEK trigger springs for a heavier pull. If you use the factory springs, it'll be quite a bit lighter.

Would you say the AEK trigger affects the safety of the gun for everyday carry? Debating if i should only run DCAEK kit or DCAEK and AEK trigger. I have no thumb safety

This was taken right after installing the AEK trigger (the DCAEK was installed when i got the gun in trade). I did a little tweaking to the trigger bar to increase the reset. After I did this video, i also made a slight adjustment to the trigger bar loop to get the trigger to break a cleaner.
