what exactly is the green container and how does it work? It's the first time I've seen it!
It’s called a bass bag. You fill it with water to help the fish rejuvenate before you release it and you gather your equipment. We use it for bigger fish to give them a fighting chance when releasing them. Used in a competition environment sometimes also.

Quite a beautiful video, and quite the impressive Lough. I had the good fortune to fish Corrib once a few years. As a U.S. based angler, I regard it as one of the most beautiful and impressive brown trout fisheries anywhere. I hope indeed to return again someday to fish its waters.

Great video Ronan, thanks a million. OMG how I miss that fishing, just too old now 😱. Was trying to identify the landscape. Were you at Headford, Dooras Penninsular or Oughterhard? Obviously still some cracking trout on Corrib Sadly haven’t been since 2018.
