What does "140lb" mean for watercolor paper?
@@rastafarius so in large form (a square meter) before it cut that it how much a 100 sheets of it weighs.
@ Oh, so heavier is thicker?
@ yes exactly

I was sure too, but it was crayola
Agreed lol
Thank you!!!!
I just got a strike for playing and making fun of a public domain video. Not sure why, I appealed and they denied it. So... not sure... I also get hit on every single song I ever put in so a live stream I might have 50 songs or something and they copyright me for every single one and I have to submit a claim for every single song. Apparently the answer is every single stream that I do I have to put in every single song that might be playing on my playlist even though I have thousands of songs that I have paid rights to play but they cannot for some reason put me on some list with the companies that I have rights with and so every single video I spend an hour or two dealing with the bull crap with this copyright stuff and I have no idea how to stop it and I don't know anybody who has this issue it's weird and sucks
Okay I need a coloring book of the simpsons a la art nouveau asap please! lol
So it doesn't work on color?
Why does youtube block the video portion? Time to REMOVE RUclips from the internet. Infringement of the Public Domain. Along with Google.
Did you color it?

You have to use special paper or encausticbord with these markers. The markers are lightfast too. They are a different medium therefore shouldn’t be compared to alcohol markers. Anyway, alcohol markers are not lightfast.
Just getting used to my smartphone, your quick touching blows my mind. My new app is Film Maker Pro and I thought your video would give instructions. It won't help me at all!
Great content! Thanks for sharing! Your "twin" is funny. 🙂

Is Live-streaming public domain music allowed to play on instrument on however you play it? Stuff like classical can you play instrument on livestream or uploading?
this is a fun informative video greatr presentation i like your hands youre like a conductor thanks for the info
What application did you use?
I used photoshop and pixlr.com
Can you sample public domain voice clips or songs to use in original music? What about voice clips from interviews? For instance, I'd like to sample an old interview of Eartha Kitt talking about love /comprimise I think the right samples can elevate certain songs but I'm wary to get sued or have the music blocked My plan is to only using the samples during transition tracks between songs. That way I don't risk my actual songs from getting blocked or flagged.
Great advice, thank you! I just started my RUclips channel, very good stuff to know!
Makes me sad to see these always being compared to alcohol markers. They're a completely different medium. It's like comparing a paint brush to a dip pen or charcoal to graphite. These markers require a different surface, not a dry absorbant paper. Hope you try them again.
Thanks.
Hi there, I found movies in this public site that they are movies as "Public Domain" and loaded to my youtube movie channel and I received a Copyright Claim any comments or advise. I will appreciate very much. Thank you.
Even citizens of developed countries find PS expensive :)
in my experiance pixlr has been betetr with real people and just touching some things up to make the photo/you look better.but with photopea its way easiar to add highlights and shadows manually where you want on any photo
Excellent , my dear friend ! Greetings
love ur vids keep it up!
awesome video. great information
!! use the pigment marker paper made W&N for these markers or use Yupo paper.
Do they work better on it?
@@Artistech1 Yupo is the best and you blend away and reactivate. If you get the Winsor and Newton marker paper get the thicker one. But still, Yupo is better. See Lachri fine art videos for her pigment marker demos. You will like em.
Nice review! But that no-look over the shoulder spin toss of the artwork was next level :)
lol thank you. sometimes I think I'm cooler than I really am...
Ohuhu markers are good if I could afford copics I would get some skin tones
I wish I had gotten some for this review.
Is it under fair use if i give attribution to the copyright holder by not taking permission from him and make some changes to the video like voice over... ?
So if you take a whole video and switch out all the audio with your own, and don't give credit you can get your video taken down. However, if you do that and you do give credit you won't get your video taken down but you won't be able to monetize it. But just sharing it won't get you in trouble.
i subscribed to ur channel u crack me up what ages do u teach art to?
I teach 7th through 12th grade. (:
Thank you!!!
i made an accordion meandering sketch book with arches water color paper it is awesome out of one imperial sheet of watercolor paper

Copyright was not meant to 'protect' anything. It was originally conceived by the founding fathers to encourage more works in the useful arts and sciences. Today, it has been bastardized to the point it does the opposite.
You are 100% right. It did both but it has been twisted to a new purpose.

Thanks ! Really like your videos, thinking of subscribing to a premium scetchbox for july. Do you know what's in the box or is it a surprise every time ?
I open it right to the camera which is why I am such an awkward duck when I do these lol. I look at the supplies and just get stumped sometimes.
Thanks. Good info about masking allowing you to undo later on in the process versus just erasing permanently. I hadn't thought about that. I'm new to this and still trying to understand. Every single masking video seems to do masking layers in different ways. Confusing. Hopefully, I'll understand it.
You did better than me.
oh thank you!!
the pixlr is a tremendous website
Here is one for you--- Many may be surprised to know the generic term "smiley" is trademarked. Merriam-Webster states the "First Known Use of smiley Adjective 1848" Franklin Loufrani in 1972 "legally" trademarked "smiley." Today if one uses the TAG "smiley" on an online marketplace, The Smiley Company LLC. may do a DMCA takedown for the product. Even if the product has NO ubiquitous yellow "smiley" face on it.
I hope you will continue to enjoy the subscription box! I started getting it in November. Actually, speaking of COVID, I like many many people started following some art RUclips vids last March as a way to cope with quarantine, and I turned out to be not horrible! I now do art pretty much every single day. I thought long and hard about getting an art box, but I am enjoying it because it introduces me to new media, or gives me things that I've seen but would never buy - like expensive or unusual art supplies. The time may come when I lose interest in it. But lordy, that time is still a long way off....
Hi! Yes, way too many yellow/golds in this box. In the basic box, our handmade watercolor was ultramarine, which probably does go with the yellow and red better, but that marker? Why???? I laugh, though, that you ended up buying more of the supplies because you liked them, though. I now own most of the Marabu art crayons, which were several months back. That doesn't always happen, but I did fall in love with those crayons! This box, though - I couldn't figure out what to do with this color selection.
I know it was a tricky one. I cheated a little as you saw.
HI! I found your channel because I get the basic sketchbox and I like to see what other people do with the materials! I agree, the canvas was a weird choice, and I ended up not using it. I have used oil pastels on canvas paper, and even then it was heavily textured but workable. But these canvases? It's like sometimes the boxes DON'T seem like they all go together! I was thrilled to get some sennelier oil pastels, though!
I know the canvases threw me a little but the final product looks cool.
Try the ohuhu brush markers they are amazing and cheap for a copic competitor marker
I really need to get my hands on some
