Brand New '97 Polaris XLT 600 SKS with ZERO Miles!
Просмотров 96 тыс.3 года назад
Check out this 1997 Polaris XLT 600 SKS in absolute mint condition! With a total of 0 miles, this gem has been stored away in the corner and hiding under a tarp since the day it arrived at the dealership in ‘97. From the signature triple carbs, to the crisp signature purple ski skins, this machine will turn the heads of any snowmobile enthusiasts. It even has the factory plastic still on the wi...
How much you guys want for it not much good just sating there!
All dry rotted,
Do you still have this
I sure hope you at least start it every once in a while, engine would be junk by now if neglected.
Whats the story why it was never sold
I have a real nice 95 rxl as well and even a 97 xlt that sled you have there is a real sweet heart and with the right work in to that block it is by far one of the most reliable sleds out there dont build em like this any more
I have one close to that nice but ill never sell it
Hello. Do you have a manual for this snowmobile?
I had a new one back in 97 Man that was a fucking awesome sled so many memories I installed triple pipes on it and it always made the high mark
if I can go back in time, just one more time...I'd ride in smiles again.
I saved for a year in 96 to buy that sled. Made the final move from Cat to Polaris. Never turned back.
That's awesome!
With current economies, I can’t even imagine what that would sell for. 7000 to 15,000 maybe? Possibly more
That's a great question!
Fouled the plugs on that triple from the factory and it's been in the shop ever since.....
😂
That’s bad ass still my favorite Polaris body style
🤘
For sale? If so name the price!
It's not for sale unfortunately, but thanks for asking!
This might sound silly. But, there is yellowish vacuum sync lines on each carb. I see in the video the 2 run up top. But there is 3 that run into the belly pan of my 1996 xlt 600. Basically I'm asking if they are supposed to run into the belly pan or the air box? I read multiple times the carbs are supposed to get equalized by the air box via those lines. Just looking for a confirmation to this. If you could check for me, please and thank you.
Sorry Nick, we'd love to confirm that for you but it's no longer accessible for us to check under the hood.
@@recreationsupplyco.1099 no problem i actually found out the answer! Only the fuel injection models use an altitude adjustment so those models need the vacuum lines to be actually under vacuum of the air box.
Where is it now? You guys keep it?
We have it stored in a top secret location. 😎
Purple is my color.
🤩
Is it for sale?
It's not for sale unfortunately, but thanks for asking!
@@recreationsupplyco.1099 Ok, thanks
I have a 99 XLT Special with less than a 1000 miles and I thought that was unusual..You sure proved me wrong.lol.Nice sled..Treasure it always
That's awesome! Any XLT is a gem in our books.
So is it for sale or what?
Unfortunately not, but thank you for asking!
I'll give you 8k rn
That's tempting... but unfortunately it's not for sale. Thanks for asking though!
so why wasn't this machine ever used? was it bought with the intention of never being ridden? i'm interested in the backstory,
The original owner ran a Polaris dealership back in the day and decided to store a couple of them under some covers in the corner for an unknown reason. 30 years later he pulled them out and decided to get rid of them.
@@recreationsupplyco.1099 neat, i love stories like this, the guy who found a old 250r atc in a crate in the back of an old barn is another awesome example of this.
Had a 1994 SKS , It was a good sled . Glad to see Rec supply on RUclips , I buy all my parts from these guys , best motorsports company by a long shot .
We appreciate that Darrell, thank you very much!
She's a beauty!
Thanks Kevin!
I have the same sled in an RMK and a 96 SKS
That's awesome!!
It would be good for display only unless your ready for a total rebuild including all rubber components replaced.
It's on display at a top secret location. 😉
Ride it
Maybe one day...
As long as it still has the factory mice nest in the air box I'll give ya 2 grand for it. And don't ask me for any more.... I know what ya got lol
😂
Very cool! Thanks for sharing your historic gem with us
You bet! Glad you enjoyed it.
wow
😏
First machine I ever owned
Sweet!
What’s the point of this?
Great question!
We have the same snowmobile in our yard
Awesome!
Because they were JUNK!!!
Not this one!
This is incredible! Thanks for sharing. I rode one these back in the day. Very fast.
That's super cool! Glad you enjoyed it!
Take some mink oil to that seat!!!! She’ll look like new. Don’t use leather cleaning or conditioner stuff. Most of it sucks. We use mink oil on all our vehicles we detail. It’s a good longer term conditioner and cleans as well
Thanks for the tip!
@@recreationsupplyco.1099 what are your plans for her?
@@joewaz100 She's being stored in a top secret location at the moment. 😉
i need two polaris snowmobiles
Hopefully you find them!
How did it end up sitting all them years?
The original owner owned a Polaris dealership and he just decided to store it in the shadows since new!
I had one of those but an older one those things are monsters
That's awesome!
First issue to fix is cleaning out the old gas and tarnish it would leave behind.
It's never had gas so we should be alright!
What a waste lol
Thanks for the input!
Is the ski stance 41" or narrower?I had a Indy 500 EFI SKS and it had a narrower stance of 37" I think.
This one is 41"!
Damn that brings back some memories for sure.the Ole Mono Block Fuji
Nothing like a Triple!
Oh man what a unit.
😎
Thanks guys, this was awesome...
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
I have one just like this but not in the shape this is..lol
Cool!
Wow!! Unbelievable… I actually rode on one of those as a passenger (my sled died)… that thing was incredibly fast! Sounded amazing and flew over bumps like they weren’t even there.. amazing find! 👍… (edit) after that ride, i always wanted a triple… until i ultimately found one .. a 99 Yamaha 700SX … omg!.. those were the days, what a blast! 👍❄️.,. Erie Pennsylvania here.
That's super cool! Thanks for sharing. 👍
Just picked up 3 sleds with .8 miles on each.
That's awesome!
@@recreationsupplyco.1099 Yes it is. So rare these days. Guy bought them brand new and put them in a storage unit. New plastic skis, 2 whindsheilds for each sled. Covers. Bags. Even 3 cases of oil!!
Okay, you sold me. I'll take it.
😂
