Living my life after college and sometimes I document it here
mini vlog | sleeping in my rav4, hiking mcafee knob, and solo picnic at a cove
Decided to embrace a "you only live once" mentality and drove down to the Blue Ridge Mountains to hike McAfee Knob. I stopped to have a picnic by a natural reservoir and it was so memorable

I drove 12 hours with my dog to camp in Acadia National Park | cinematic vlog
Просмотров 3083 месяца назад
I've always been terrified of driving long distance within the US, but somehow I was able to muster up the courage to take a 12 hour roadtrip to go camping in Acadia National Park, Maine! Maine must be the most dog friendly state in the US, at least in Bar Harbor and near the park. Truly one of the most beautiful places on earth and it was worth the trek up there. We loved our time hiking and s...

Thanks for sharing the video of your trip to Japan. We hope you will visit Japan again. We also post information about Japan on our channel if you want to check it out😊
thank you so much for your comment!
Glad you got to go to Korea!! So jealous of the ganjang gejang!
Polari sweat. lol. Brian’s fav. 😂
Can I recommend you visit Ishigaki Island on your next trip to Japan? I'd recommend the first week of October as the high season is officially over, prices are lower, weather is still gloriously hot and humid but far more enjoyable and jellyfish season is officially over). In particular, Fusaki Beach and the Intercontinental are worth every penny you save and splurge on a trip of a lifetime. The Yaeyama Islands are a great place to have fun, totally different to 'the mainland' in so many ways. Once you've really explored Tokyo, Kyoto etc, definitely consider Ishigaki. Loved your vlog-- seeing people experience Japan for the first time makes me so happy as everybody looks so joyful and delighted by everything. ✈🛍🛍🍜☺
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 thank you so much for taking the time to write your recommendation! I will def try to check these areas out my next trip - already trying to budget for the next one :)
@@melissaagong Can't wait to see the new vlogs next year (or the year after). PS= Direct flights to Ishigaki from Tokyo are cheaper than taking a shinkansen to many towns like, say, Takayama (so worth it but weirdly expensive to get to). Ishigaki is a 3 hour direct flight and just WAIT until you see the airline prices for yourself. I won't spoil the surprise. PPS= Peach airlines are a domestic airline in Japan offering budget flights to the Okinawa and Yaeyama area. I so look forward to see where you go, what you do on your next trip.
I wish there was a spot near me that offered onigiris because I could eat those every day. Awesome trip....we plan to visit Japan as well.
Love onigiris! They’re easy to make at home!
@@melissaagong I have made them before at home....but sometimes I would like to have one for lunch that's made fresh.
I feel this way about Bibimbap. Making it myself is just NEVER the same as an authentic bowl made by a Korean chef-- it looks so simple but I'm always blown away by the flavour profile. Also, the creamy chicken ramen done by Ginza Kagari Honten is something I could eat once a week. DELICIOUS. If you miss out on visiting their restaurant in Ginza, they have one in Narita airport too so you can try it before you leave the country!
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 so true! I also will have to add that ramen place to my list !
i love your adventures <3 so soothing!! keep posting!! ilyyyy

You are not solo. You are with your dog.
You’re really contributing so much to my page! Wow great comment here ☺️
Thank you for the outstanding video! It was so inspiring.
just seeing this but thank you for your nice comment!
Too bad about the olive oil. Set up can be tricky. First camping is fun 😀 Doggie wants to help 🐶 Nice vlog video!
Thanks for taking us along. Sure was nice to get away for a few minutes 💙
thank you ~ I'm so glad you were able to enjoy my video
Looks like a relaxing time
It is beyond stupid to go camping/hiking without a weapon. In the deep woods, you are your own first responder and have at minimum a hunting/survival knife, a gun is great and a machete comes in handy. Bring a solar motion-activated garden light as well as some loud M80 firecrackers, great for scaring off intruders. Mace(for bears) and even a 900-mile laser pointer can blind the eyes of any animals and used for signaling too. A fog horn or flare gun can be used for defence too.
all great points! I was indeed prepared and had bear spray, pepper spray, and a knife with me so no need to be concerned for my safety in this video, I took all the necessary precautions for this trip to the national park!
Cool.
Very good video😁👌 You are easy to watch and listen to. I wild camp on the mountains in Wales. Many people will find your videos soon if you keep sharing. You film well. Keep having fun👋❤️
What’s the song?
I put all the music I use in my description box for all my videos~
Very nice to watch😁👌 The waterfall is amazing!❤
Hello from Wales👋 Enjoyed your first one Well done❤
I would recommend getting a storage container for your cooking spices, condiments, oils, etc to prevent spillage. It happened to me once a couple years ago and it kinda sucked but it didn't help the trails were bumpy either. You'll find out what will work best for you as you take these camping trips on what setups work for storage. Keep on adventuring 👍
Yes I definitely learned my lesson there hah. Going to experiment and find some new storage method
@@melissaagong I started with bags then to Tupperware type storage bins. I eventually bought Plano storage cases from Amazon and they have been working pretty well as they are much more sturdy and budget friendly.
Great video! Those scenic views are absolutely beautiful especially the sunset/sunrise.
Thank you so much! Probably some of the most beautiful scenes I've seen in my life and I can't wait to go back one day!
