There is no hopper cover on this style ASL it’s part of the body. It’s there to prevent stuff from flying over the side into the road

Was thinking at first that this truck came over from Michigan till I saw the side I’m a loader with gfl in Michigan
I tell ya it’s nothing like it is,over there the trucks at my yard are absolutely fucked up and management corrupt assholes that don’t give one fuck about your safety they just care about getting the shit done and they abuse power when you say no to trucks that shouldn’t even be road worthy…. Gfl residential ain’t gonna exist for southeastern Michigan much longer they just sold all the contracts to priority waste we need the big man to come down from up there and see what a shit hole they runnijg

Got an In cab shot of you working the the arm 🕹️.... I drove this style truck for 6 years rest garbage and green, but we did have carts back then. Hand bomb it all. I like to how you operated that arm 💪🏾

Great video! Do you prefer this truck or the helping hand?
This truck is better for packing a lot of material, I can hold 2.5-3.5k kg more with this truck than a helping hand due to the packer design. However the helping hand is great because I have to operate in lane ways that are much tighter than the ones I was in with this truck and it has a much smaller kick out range with the arm. I wouldn’t be able to use an automizer to complete those lanes as the arm would contact the wall on the way up.

Unfortunately not, we had one Mack McNeilus ZR but it was relocated. Our yard is all Labrie automizer on Mack LE, freightliner M2 and 114SD chassis aside from my truck and one other which are Labrie Professional M2s and one truck which is an original Mack McNeilus autoreach but I don’t get to drive that one as it belongs to a specific driver.

Trucks are getting old and we push them harder than they’re designed to be since our district is so heavy. There’s always a few trucks down but nothing to really slow us down.

Why didn’t you use the crusher panel?
It only works when you’re doing manual collection with the second side door open. Since I’m using the arm it won’t lower.
