We started at the very top, at the entrance of the ski lodge parking lot. alt. 10,200'. The first mile is a climb but there is another parking lot that you can use and avoid that if climbing isn't your thing. Once you get past the initial climb, it's 9 miles of gentle, flowy downhill with 3300 ft of descent! You'll have to cross Tesuque Creek 5 or 6 times near the bottom, then find your way out...

Get a good sense of the green belt and the seismic walls around MoPac and 360. We see rock climbers and many other really cool sights from the dry creek bed.

God damn, I love that run! I was there a month later than you- lower snow but still damn good. That neck at the transition from top to mid is the only real tight spot depending on snow level. I was waiting for you to straight line the bottom!
