Life with a Honda Civic
It's been a while since I sold my 2017 Nissan 370Z. I switched to a 2017 Honda Civic 1.5L Turbo, and in this video, I get into what life has been like with this car, and my new hobby of photography. I go out and try some car photography and talk about my experiences with the Civic.

I went to Drive Festival 2022

I had a chance to visit Drive Festival 2022, which is a car show at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. This was my first time going to a race track and it was awesome! Not only were there cars racing on the track, but also amazing car builds to check out, from car clubs to racing teams to just some cool car owners. I can't wait for Drive Festival 2023! Hey guys, what is going on! This was a bit of an emotional video for me. Selling the 370Z was not an easy decision. In this video, I talk about why I sold the car. The 370Z did not suit my lifestyle as a daily driver. Despite that, the Nissan 370Z is an awesome sports car! I very much look forward to owning one again someday. Easy fix, install a rear view camera.
It's a sports car. Not ideal for a daily driver, but as a secondary car for fun, it can't be beat. I never bought mine for cup holders, that's for sure!!
Never drive a sports car in the snow
I have a 2006 Corolla and it’s a gem. Always starts.
It has cataracts lol
Thanks! I’d suggest showing the lights on in the dark at the end to show the difference of before & after
Any reason not to use the provided soap/wax from the spray hose at the station? Just got a magma red 2014 Z with 5K miles and paranoid about messing the paint up.
I need some new pipes too nice color car love my 370z
Thanks! Love this car too!
I have a 2019 370Z 6MT sport pkg that I got new. It has Hotchkiss anti-roll bars front and rear that have improved the handling. Stoptech stainless steel braided brake lines have firmed up the brake pedal. I hade a Stillen Gen 3 long tube cold air intake, a Fast Intentions dual x-pipe cat back exhaust plus a dyno tune done with Ecutek software. We got about 55 more peak horsepower at the crank and a 15% increase in torque across the whole rev range. Litespeed Racing forged magnesium monoblock wheels of the same size as the OEM Rays wheels have taken off about 9 lbs from each corner. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (240) tires are a lightweight tire with good handling precision and grip.
Hey thanks for the awesome tips! I just subscribed to your channel, and hope to own a 370Z soon myself
Not a problem! Thank you for the sub! Hope you can get one soon, these cars are awesome.
I did it for 7 years with a 350z...just can't drive in it in any winter storms or bad snow falls..like 2ft-4ft of snow...just leave it parked at home and take a all wheel or front wheel drive vehicle to work instead.
Wow 7 years is a long time...awesome job. Yes, I agree, there are much better alternatives for winter.
its so funny yet so sad 😭😭
Haha yes! 😂
i think it is a good "exhaust" for beginners. that includes me. you want to hear your car and this is the cheapest route. i think i am going to get this done real soon! then down the road my plan will to get a full exhaust system!
Yeah definitely! Looking back though, I would get the resonated muffler delete, not straight pipe. It should help with the drone.
Im so excited for drive fest 2023 😊😊cant wait! I went in 2021 but didnt go in 2022 so i hope its really good this year😊😊
Yeah me too, can't wait! 😃
I have almost the same set up right now. Zspeed stage 2 quiet kit, and a Mishimoto shift knob. I’m gonna change the shift knob tho it gets too damn hot here in texas
Awesome, love this setup, but yeah, hot weather and a metal shift knob don't pair well 😅
This is called the broke man exhaust .Get a job and buy an exhaust system. Lol
Man I'm poor. Which job do you recommend?
i have this exact same spec this exact same year we are brothers
Yes sir 💯, if only I still had the car 😔
And fantastic photos by the way
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!
Great review
Thank you!
you think nismos have the same issue with the slave cylinder? i had a 2010 7 years ago and that was the first issue i had with the car. fast forward to current day im in the market for a nismo:)
Yes, I believe they do. The issue is specific to the manual transmission on these cars.
im looking at 2013 370zs in pretty good condition for around 20-25k. do you think its a good reliable daily driver besides gas ofc. id be getting an automatic too.
Depends on where you live since it's not the best in extreme winter or areas which get a lot of snow. Overall, it's a reliable car with only a few reliability issues which can be taken care of.
@@jawadmajeed i do live in oregon where we don’t get a ton of snow but it does rain a decent amount. I’m so obsessed with this car though I need it.
@@daydreamprod4192 rain is no problem then, buy the car and take care of the CSC problem I mentioned, car will be reliable. Good luck!
@@jawadmajeed helll yeah, thank you! I was even thinking of getting an automatic and I don’t think those have the same issue. But I could be wrong
@@daydreamprod4192 ahh ok. Yes that's right, my bad, CSC is only an issue with manuals.
What is the brand of your shift knob?I have the same one in my g37 and I’m trying to find who makes it.
Mishimoto, bought it off Amazon
Do it all the time! Does great too
Awesome! Glad to hear. Winter tires?
No sir all season continental
@@faviancastro6330 Wow! Where do you live? Do you get a lot of snow?
East tennessee!
Your SOFT my guy
I have same problem with my 300,000Km 2003 corolla too, here in the UK. And like yours, I think its worth fixing coz the thing just keeps on going!! It has nearly failed the MOT (yearly manadatory UK vechicle saftey check) on the headlamps last 2 years though and this honest review is really really helpful as I decide what to do to avoid that this year: Cheers Mate!
Wow....another 300k+ corolla! I agree, these cars are so reliable. Glad my review can help you! Thank you for the comment.
Dude I just had this repaired at the dealership 🤦🏾♂️
Was it a valve cover seal issue?
@@jawadmajeed yes 1771.21 usd, wound up replacing the entire valve cover and a coil and an oil change
@@revolutionradio2000 aww man, that sucks! I came across this during a test drive of a used X3. I did some aggressive turns in a parking lot and that's when this happened. Honestly, this makes me second guess buying a bmw now.
@@jawadmajeed happened at 135k miles though so it could happen to any car
@@revolutionradio2000 ahhh ok. Yeah that's fair.
Awesome video man, thanks!
Thank you, appreciate it 🙏.
Love the car, hate the music.
I get what you are saying but you know these things when you buy the vehicle. I have a 370z as well but I also have a second vehicle to do all the things you are talking about. To each his own but I definitely still enjoy driving mine.
I knew these things when buying the car but honestly, I only really understood it after owning and daily'ing the car for several months. I had a civic as my daily driver initially but circumstances were such that I could not keep 2 cars anymore. Ideal scenario is what you have, 370Z and a second vehicle. The 370Z is an awesome car, hope to own one again in the future.
Literally just started getting your content as I'm interested in getting a 370z and see you cruising around my neighborhood in Scarborough!!!! I see you at Birchmount and Ellesmere!! 👍🏾
Haha awesome! I used to drive down Birchmount to go to the car wash near Birchmount and Lawrence. I appreciate the support! Hope you enjoy my content!
What's the size of the pipe?
3" to 4" tips
I own a 2017 MT 370… I must agree with many of your points. It oddly does take toll on your body. I have to gear my self up to go places lol. I still love it tho
I appreciate the comment and glad you feel the same way 🙏
You should definitely buy yourself some new Toyota Corolla headlights. They look smok. It’s time to buy some new headlights for that Toyota Corolla give it a fresh look.
Yeah I know, only so much restoration you can do.
Is this aurora flare blue paint?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's called deep blue pearl, OEM Nissan colour.
@@jawadmajeed Ah fair looked similar to mine
@@ScottZ370 yeah I love this blue paint. It's awesome.
My favourite brand in my favourite colour love it!
Thanks!
@@jawadmajeed you're welcome Sir!
What exhaust is on your car?
stock exhaust, except for muffler delete/axle back
Where did you buy the wheels?
Local shop in Mississauga, Ontario, called Tires23
@@jawadmajeed Im in ontario as well, im guessing you went in person?
@@Matt-lf1ik yes, in person.
Love the advise man. Was hoping u did a cold air intake mod tho. Don’t know what brand would be best. Nice car tho bro.
Thanks man. Cold air intake is truly useful with a full exhaust in my opinion. In this video, I had only done a muffler delete. Best cold air intakes for this car are Z1, admin tuning, or stillen. The ones that bring the intake to the front bumper. If you go more than 2.5" in diameter, you'll need a tune though.
One more question. Does an exhaust delete fail your emissions? Absolutely love the sound but don’t want to keep swapping once a year for the emissions test ya know.
@@ryanbruss4783 I'm not entirely sure. Removing the catalytic converters are the main cause of emission issues. I'm not sure if a muffler delete will also cause issues. My guess is no but I could be wrong. What I understand is the muffler only "muffles" the sound i.e. reduce the loudness of the exhaust gas flow. I don't know how this could be linked to the gas composition. I hear you on the emission tests though. It can be annoying. Luckily they got rid of emission testing in Ontario. Where are you located?
@@jawadmajeed I’m located in Milwaukee, WI. Ya we don’t have emissions centers anymore but once a year we still have to have a shop plug in to our car to renew our registration. And if anything causes our engine light to come on we instantly fail. It’s a bummer for sure. Definitely won’t do catalytic removal but might try the exhaust delete. I WANT a lil more sound ya know. Thanks man!
@@ryanbruss4783 yeah I hear you. No problem man! Glad I could help.
POV you spit on the manifold to make a “viral video” 🧍🏻♂️
Not at all. Just wanted to share my experience.
Valve cover is leaking oil on the exhaust manifold.
Yeah that's what I thought, either valve cover or head

Great video. I have a 2020 370Z automatic, can I put a weight shift knob on mine? where did you get yours?
I'm not sure if it will work. I got mine from Amazon. However, the purpose of a weighted shift knob is to improve manual shifting, so I don't think it will benefit an automatic car.
?
I jus got a 370z how do u connect to the blue tooth
Unfortunately I'm not sure how I did it initially. Check the user manual or a google/youtube search may help.
How u connect to the Bluetooth
Vegan coffee? 😂
Haha yes 🤣
I would keep the civic as my workhorse 🤭 and buy the 370z for weekend joyride. Nevertheless, good taste in 🚗 choice. Congrats 👏
Thank you! Yeah I know what you mean. That's the ideal situation for sure. Unfortunately I can only keep one car around right now, so I picked the Z 😅.
TE Reps.... ooof they look heavier than oem lol
Haha. I didn't actually weigh them but they seemed okay when I was carrying them around.
Can you do A review after a few weeks or a month?
It was still the same after a month or so, clearer and better. However, since I did not apply the protective coating, the headlights have slowly started to oxidize again. But, having a look at them now after 9 months, they still look better than before, despite not applying that protective coating provided in the kit. I would still recommend this kit!
It's a good video, but it was needlessly long. This could've all been explained in under 7 minutes, imo.
