hi tyree forgot to comment my setup so i have an 12inch orion subwoofer in my dads van with a seat like box.so basically the box is shaped in a way to fit in the seat.also he got 3 amps and an AVH-1000 head unit. i cant remember the head unit.....

5k for that skar system someone ripped u off bro that system isn’t anywhere close to 5k and if it is here is some pointers, get better amps, better subs, get the car dynamated and get proper mid bass speakers and tweeters, add another battery and get ofc wire cuz. Your system isn’t anything close to 5k, maybe 1.8k. When I say get batteries I mean AGM bro stinger makes amazing batteries, jl audio for more accurate and sundown for spl

I suspect even with the second battery you are still lagging in performance since the alternator is not strong enough to support both batteries. if you can do the math on the current draw from both amps as you are playing. I suspect both batteries are not being fully charged. Once you go past a real 1000 watt system you are just taxing your electrical. There is only so much a stock alternator can do. It won't matter what you do to the wires. A battery isolator might help with the charging or you need an external charger to top off the battery. Stock alternator is barely enough to support your vehicle without the additional amps and batteries as it has to keep the car running and all of the lights plus charge the original battery. Now you have added the amps and additional battery. Look up how many amps your alternator outputs currently. That is the weak point of your system if you keep it stock. Remember at idle your alternator isn't putting out many amps at all. You have to keep the rpms of the engine higher to get more current flow from it.

Battery may be a hazard, but it doesnt have to be, you can make an enclosure for it or simply tidy up the connections etc, you can improve it if you would like to
